In 2023, Gintama released an anime adaptation of the spin-off novel Class 3Z Ginpachi Sensei. It will be produced by Bandai Namco Pictures. The director is Natsumi Higashida, and the general director is Makoto Moriwaki. The series was composed by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Mitei Mark II. Shinji Takeuchi is the character designer and chief animation director. Class 3Z Ginpachi Sensei is scheduled to be released in October 2025.
