Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools Episode 35, Jura and Hidari form a new strongest duo
Boruto: Two Blue Swirls Chapter 35 was officially released on June 18, 2026 in V-Jump Issue #8. This new chapter was meant to be a continuation of a new arc and served as a building block for larger events to unfold later. As expected, after the fall of Shinju Mamushi in Chapter 33 of Boruto: The Two Blue Whirlpools, April 20, 2026, this new chapter focuses on the two remaining Shinju, Jura and Hidari. At the same time, it also focuses on Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha, two of the most important characters in the overall plot of the series.
“Mamushi is dead. Driven by instinct, he succumbs to desire and burns out. What was twisted was also a form of love.” — Shinju Jura confirmed Mamushi's death. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #35
Most of us expected Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto to focus directly on Hidari and save Jura for the last time, but it looks like Jura and Hidari will act together in this new arc. in Boruto: Two Blue Swirls In episode 35, a new relationship was seen sprouting between the two. This happened when Jura tried to understand Mamushi's philosophy and came to the conclusion that he was driven only by lust. After hearing this, Hidari asked why he was brought here specifically and not someone like Ryu or Matsuri. The only answer Yura could come up with was that she would feel immense sadness if she lived in a world without Hidari.
Hidari: You could have collected their Thorn Soul Bulbs if you wanted, why didn't you? Or rather, why did you bring me back?
Jura: That's a good question. I've never thought about it, but just now I felt sad as I tried to imagine a world without you.
— Hidari and Jura's interactions show their new relationship, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #35
Surprisingly, Hidari, Sasuke's official Shunju clone, returned the favor by saying that he would feel the same way about Jura. This new villainous duo slowly grows closer to each other, and through all the time they spend together, they begin to experience immense love for the other. It is thanks to this love and camaraderie that they will play an extremely pivotal role in the new arc in which they will fight together. I'm really looking forward to seeing what action will unfold once the main battle begins.

After 9 years, Boruto's Jiraiya officially comes to an end.
Jiraiya met his end against Pain in Naruto, and his clone, Kashin Koji, has now met his end in the latest release of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Why Jura and Hidari are set to be the next best duo in the franchise, following Madara and Obito
Jura and Hidari have both been their own characters at the beginning of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex since their introduction in Chapter 4 of V-Jump Issue #1 on November 20, 2023. But the character growth these two have experienced since then has been quite remarkable. Often times, villains make or break a story arc, and while in the case of Boruto: The Two Blue Whirlpools the author got quite a few things right, the villain is one area where it falls short. Now, with Jura and Hidari developing nicely, these minor weaknesses in the story are being addressed, and we're seeing the birth of two of the best villains in the entire Naruto franchise right before our eyes.
Jura is already a great villain obsessed with philosophical thoughts about love, and he wants to uncover the root cause. Likewise, Hidari is trying to gain more knowledge and understand his very existence and his desire to go to Sarada and consume her. These Shinju are slowly growing in power as well as importance, making them a potentially lethal duo that could make them the best villain duo in the story since Obito and Madara.
“Obito, you are the volunteer I raised for my reincarnation. I will make you repay your debt!” — Madara Uchiha, using Obito in the 4th Ninja Wars
In the Fourth Ninja War, Obito and Madara showed Naruto and their ninja allies a despair they had never seen before. The meticulous planning and tremendous strength shown in this part made them into unforgettable villains. Now Ikemoto is doing something similar with Jura and Hidari and we would like to see their relationship develop further.

How Jura and Hidari surpass Madara and Obito in the new arc of the two Blue Vortex
Masashi Kishimoto wrote a brilliant story in the Fourth Great Ninja War, which officially ended with the sealing of Kaguya Otsutsuki in the hands of Team 7 in Naruto Chapter 690 on September 15, 2014. Since then, the author has paved the way for Boruto, which has gone through many twists and turns and received considerable criticism from fans. However, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex does a great job of righting everything that was wrong with the previous manga. Many fan complaints have been addressed in the new series, and the fact that the villains are actually on par with Naruto's best, including Pain, Orochimaru, Obito, and Madara, makes the series even more interesting now.
“The world is curious. The more knowledge you gain, the more questions you have!” — Jura, Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools Chapter #19
Both Jura and Hidari are already amazing characters, and as the story develops further, they could potentially even surpass characters like Obito and Madara. When it comes to power levels, they've already left the pair in the dust, but when it comes to character writing, defeating Kishimoto's best villain won't be easy for Ikemoto. Regardless, we can only hope that he continues this level of character writing for both Jura and Hidari and develops them further before eventually killing them off.
