His exploits as a Shinobi god continued to grow in the latter half of Naruto's story. Hashirama Senju was famous for being a unique Jutsu user, especially his use of Wood Release. While many Shinobi possess various Kekkei Genkai, Wood Release is a somewhat rare ability that not many have historically wielded.
In fact, Hashirama was the only person born with this power, and it was coveted by many, including his arch-rival Madara Uchiha after his death. Hashirama passed away a long time ago. now, Boruto: Two Blue Swirls We are officially adding his successor when it comes to the use of Wood Release Ninjutsu. Decades later, Konoha now has a natural Wood Release user in the form of Moegi Kazamatsuri, who has been confirmed to wield the power of this unique and rare Kekkei Genkai himself.
In Volume 4 of Boruto, Kazamatsuri Moegi was officially confirmed as Hashirama's successor.
Wood Release is a unique anomaly in Hashirama Senju's DNA that, by combining Earth Release and Water Release, allows him to create various forms of plants and manipulate any wood structure that may exist in nature. Wood Release is an incredibly overpowering ability due to its incredible defensive capabilities and ability to change terrain with abilities like Deep Forest Emergence, as well as its unique ability to absorb the Tailed Beast chakra and the chakra of every individual present in the world of Naruto. For all of these reasons, Wood Release is particularly unique as a Kekkei Genkai, and it is because of these properties that individuals such as Madara Uchiha and even Konoha have attempted to replicate this power in various ways.
The various experiments Konoha conducted all eventually failed, but what really stands out is that during the Boruto era, Konoha has now naturally successfully produced its own unique Wood Release users. This person is Kazamatsuri Moegi. Boruto Vol. 4's official release, Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto confirmed that Moegi Kazamatsuri was the user of Wood Release.

For those of you who don't remember, Moegi was a genin who worked alongside Konohamaru Sarutobi. naruto series. By the time of Boruto, she is now a full-fledged jonin of the village and one of the strongest warriors in the series. She currently leads Team 10 and it's clear why she is trusted as much as she is in Konoha. With the power of Wood Release, Moegi controls one of the rarest and most powerful abilities that exist in the world, and I can't wait to see her in action as Boruto: Two Blue Vortex goes deeper into the Shinju arc.
Boruto's new jonin replaced Naruto as Konoha's number one ninja.
Naruto received a nerf and in his weakened state, he is far from Konoha's strongest ninja.
Why Moegi was able to be connected to the Senju clan
Moegi is officially confirmed to have the power of Wood Release in Boruto Volume 4, but it is still unknown how he gained access to this ability in the first place. What is clear is that Kazamatsuri Moegi awakened this power naturally, unlike Yamato, which was an experiment created using Hashirama's DNA. Since Moegi was a natural user of wood releases, there is also the possibility that he may be related to the Senju clan. After all, Hashirama was the only individual with this Kekkei Genkai and he belonged to the Senju. In other words, Moegi may be connected to the Senju clan, or may have been born into a Senju clan.
“He was Senju 'Wood Release' Hashirama. He was the pinnacle of the ninja world and the person I respected the most.” — Madara Uchiha explains Wood Release in Chapter 398 of Naruto.
The answer to this question is unlikely to be revealed anytime soon, but it is likely that there is a blood relationship between her and the first Hokage of Konoha, who died at an unknown time. If Moegi is truly connected to the Senju, his chakra will also be greatly enhanced. In the Naruto series, it is officially stated that the Senju clan possesses enormous amounts of chakra and incredible vitality. With such incredible power, Moegi could become one of Konoha's most powerful Jonin in the current era, which is something that excites us all as we watch her fight in the future.
Moegi's Wood Release Jutsu includes the Green Hued Jutsu and Vegetation Jutsu.
Unfortunately, Boruto: Two Blue Swirls Although we haven't given Moegi Kazamatsuri a fighting chance, the official volume release confirms that Moegi is a user of two specific tree-style jutsu.

Green-Hued jutsu: We don't know what this jutsu does, but based on the name itself, we can tell that this jutsu spreads green around her in some way or form, either through plants or spores that paralyze enemies.

Vegetation Jutsu: As the name suggests, Moegi can create plants around him and is one of the most basic jutsu within Wood Release, which Senju Hashirama utilized on various occasions.

With powers like these, Moegi is a force to be reckoned with, and we can't wait to see what she's capable of later on when she gets the spotlight to shine on her own in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. With two Shinju still remaining in Hidari and Jura, which the plot begins to cover in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35, June 18, 2026, Moegi is given plenty of opportunity to shine in battle. Following the fall of Shinju and the threat of the Code, there is also the possibility that Akebi will be reborn as Otsutsuki. Once again, this sets up a further opportunity for Moegi to showcase his Wood Release abilities and establish himself as the true successor to the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju.
