circle Metaphor: ReFantazio It's so flexible that almost any character can be equipped with it. Each party member has a specific skill that allows them to level up faster than others, with Strength being one of the main damage-dealing skills.
Certain archetypes of Lineage benefit greatly from strength-focused characters, and this list will help you decide which one is right for you. This list applies to all party members, so each Lineage does not include the Royal archetype. All lineages are grouped together because each lineage's later archetypes are straight upgrades from the previous lineage.

Analogy: ReFantazio – All Bath Salts and How to Buy them
Bath salts are an easy way to increase your main character's base stats in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Here's information on each and where to get it.
5 thief bloodline
- Unlocked through Haisemei's Bond.
- Type: Thief, Assassin, Ninja.
The Thief Lineage archetype offers a unique twist on Strength builds in that many of its attacks reduce Strength but deal Shadow damage. Those that deal with forces on the “physical dark” scale do not, those that list magic. This archetype also includes several basic slash attacks that reduce its strength, making it the best stat in this lineage.
While most of the force-focused lineages on this list focus on access to different types of physical damage, this lineage focuses on darkness, an element that is already quite lacking across other lineages, including magic-focused lineages. This branch has many passives that help your character avoid incoming attacks, which is great for reducing enemy Press Turn icons.
4 Gunner Lineage
- Unlocked through the Bond of Nueras.
- Types: Gunner, Sniper, Dragoon.
The Gunner archetype is unique in that it requires almost all of its abilities to be used from the back row. This is an ideal setup for a party member who already has this archetype. The first archetype, the Gunner, not only deals significant physical damage, but also has a chance to inflict status effects on all three of its skills.

Metaphor: ReFantazio – How to identify and erase bad weather
Bad weather can make your trip to the dungeon much more difficult than usual in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Here's how to check for and clear severe weather:
The second type, Sniper, is great for disposing of enemies, making it much easier to gain XP later in the game. The final skill, Smashing Salvo, also lowers the enemy's defense for 3 turns and is by far one of the best skills you can learn through this lineage. While the Dragoon Archetype focuses more on magical skills, the first two give you enough skills to transfer using Skill Inheritance to take advantage of better stats.
3 warrior lineage
- Unlocked through Strohl's Bond.
- Type: Warrior, Swordmaster, Samurai.
Warrior Lineage is one of the first Lineages that players can unlock at the start of the game. The first archetype, Warrior, has access to the passive Heat Up and Slash Boost which increases physical attack by 10% and slash damage by 20%, which when used together gives 30% slashing damage straight from the first archetype. You can get .
The Swordmaster then grants the character access to party-wide attacks and slash evasion if facing a boss with a powerful slash attack. Samurai finishes this lineage strong, having access to strength-based electric attacks along with various buff skills and Regenerate 3, making it easier for damage dealers to keep up in combat.
2 Berserker Lineage
- Unlocked in Basilio's Bindings.
- Type: Berserker, Destroyer.
Berserker Lineage is achieved late in the game, but it's worth the wait. Berserker can also use a damage buff passive early on, as well as a very powerful single target attack that hits 1-3 times with high damage. War Cry is also great against bosses as it lowers both attack and defense, and should be one of your debuffs for some late-game bosses.

Metaphor: ReFantazio – All Vista Drawing Locations (Vista Viewer Trophy)
Analogy: ReFantazio players looking to unlock the Vista Viewer trophy must first find all Vista Drawing locations in the game.
The Destroyer Archetype gives you access to strength-based wind and light attacks, as well as a passive that increases your damage, deals more damage based on your stamina, and increases your maximum HP by 30%. Using Skill Inheritance for Destroyers, Carryover Frenzy and other damage buff passives, you should ensure the highest single target damage possible. If your protagonist uses Berserker, it also helps to invest a few points in Luck so that Frenzy hits more often.
1 Brawler Lineage
- Unlocked through Katherina's Bond.
- Type: Fighter, boxer, martial artist.
Brawler Lineage may seem like a double-edged sword, but with a good healer, it can be one of the best archetype Lineages in the game. This archetype specializes in critical strikes, making it great for getting more Press Turn icons even if you can't hit the enemy's weak spot. Starting with the second archetype, the Boxer, you will have access to physical attacks that not only deal a lot of damage, but also lower the enemy's defense.
Martial artists also receive powerful physical attacks that lower defense, making these attacks a staple in every fight. The boxer also has a Strike Boost passive, which can be stored up until the enemy gains level 3 debuff defense before triggering a more lethal Strike skill. While the martial artist gains some recovery skills, having a good healer in your party can help you replenish any lost health. Martial artists also learn Battle Master, which helps them avoid many status ailments, allowing healers to only worry about health more than anything else.
