Subnautica 2 has been out for a while, which means many of the game's issues are well known to both fans and developer Unknown Worlds. But that's what the Early Access period is for, and one of the most frequent pieces of feedback we received from many fans was how aggressive the game's wildlife, especially the Hammerhead, can be.
Before today, they had a habit of seductively seeking out docked tadpoles and would often attack without anyone inside. In a game where there was no obvious way to deal with the pesky fish, all one could really do was watch the tadpoles annoyingly beat around the base. It's not great, but it's resolved very quickly in Unknown Worlds.
Hammerheads in Subnautica 2 will be much calmer
The game's most recently released hotfix explained that Hammerheads will no longer attack uncontrolled tadpoles, but it becomes clear that they will still be interested if you see them sticking around. This is probably the biggest change in the patch notes. But other big changes like reduced interior wall cost and unbreakable tadpoles are also pretty big.

What makes this even more comforting is that this is just a hotfix and not a proper major update. So the meaningful changes included here should suggest that the game's major update will be quite substantial. This also shows that Unknown Worlds is willing to work with the community for feedback, and we promise to work even more diligently in the future.
