One of the most unique transformations in Dragon Ball history appeared in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, the second one to be included in the game.
Naturally, considering how important Dragon Ball is to the series, Dragon Ball many of change. From all four levels of Super Saiyan to the latest God and Blue transformations, Goku and the gang have grown in power to various levels over the past 42 years, with new forms appearing later as well.
But as much as I love watching Super Saiyans, the most interesting transformation in Dragon Ball is definitely the one that isn't talked about much. The best example of this is False Super Saiyan, a variation of the fan name that appeared in a single movie and was quickly dropped. Now, 25 years later, the form is coming back.

But it's not as playable as everyone thinks.
For those of you who don't know, False Super Saiyan is a variant that appeared very briefly in the Dragonball Z: Lord Slug movie, and contains many of the same elements as the real Super Saiyan. It is based on anger, sees Goku's hair change depending on his form, and has unique white eyes while also having a powerful aura like a Super Saiyan.
The False Super Saiyan appeared in the Lord Slug movie about two weeks before his real form was introduced in the comics. That means the false version was basically deleted entirely, leaving fans to mourn. It came as quite a surprise when the latest trailer for Sparking Zero's massive DLC confirmed that the format would be returning to the game.
The trailer shows Goku can transform into a False Super Saiyan while wearing one of the DLC's new costumes, a tattered costume from the Lord Slug movie. It's clear that this form is only part of the ultimate move and not a playable variant as some people had hoped, but it's still a very cool inclusion.
It's also another sign that Dragon Ball is becoming a bit less restrictive lately and may include more deep cuts into the series' past. It's a small inclusion in the grand scheme of things, but it's a treat for long-term Dragon Ball fans like me who still remember all the AMVs about it. really Super Saiyan form.
