In Wano, Yamato seemed destined to join the Straw Hat Pirates, while in Egghead, the closest person to the pirates was Lilith. By now, one piece Fans know that Oda doesn't always bring new characters to join the Straw Hats. However, expectations are still high for Loki, who debuted in the Elbaf episode.

Loki is the son of the late King Harald, considered the greatest ruler in Elbaf history. Besides being merciful, Harald was a capable warrior. In fact, he was one of the few who could compete with Davy D. Xebec. Harald's wish was to transform Elbaf and open its borders to the rest of the world. He wanted to create friendship between giants and humans. For a long time they were treated as a dangerous species that could only cause harm. Unfortunately, Harald was never able to realize his goal.
The people of Elbaf loved Harald, so they were chained when Loki killed their king. At least this is the narrative pushed by the Elbaf people, and Loki does not seem to be the type of person who would murder his father. At the end of the God Valley flashback, Oda will likely reveal the truth about Harald's death.
Despite his status, One Piece fans showed a warm interest in Loki. They like his designs, his knowledge, his choice of weapons, and his persona. Not to mention the fact that Loki shares certain traits with Luffy. All of this made Loki very popular with fans, who desperately wanted him to join the Straw Hat Pirates.
Loki will ruin the dynamic of the monster trio.
Loki is stronger than Zoro and Sanji
Even though Loki would be a great addition to the crew, it's unlikely he'll actually join, and the reason is rather simple. He will ruin the dynamic of the entire Monster Trio. After the East Blue Saga, the monster trio consisted of Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. Together, the three won many important fights and helped their crew overcome several obstacles. It's safe to say that without them, the crew wouldn't have reached the New World as far as they did.
Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are all capable fighters, but not on the same level. Luffy is head and shoulders above the two, as proven by his victories over Kaido, Katakuri, Lucci, and Doflamingo. Meanwhile, Zoro and Sanji are at a similar level. If Loki were to join the crew, he would immediately become the second strongest member after Luffy. Loki hasn't fought anyone yet, but he has several statements that indicate his power. It is said that only Shanks was able to stop Loki's rampage in Elbaf. Considering that Gavan was also in the countryside, it means that Loki was stronger than him.
Another piece of evidence is that the Holy Knights attempted to recruit Loki into their ranks. Shamrock presented Loki with an offer, but Loki flatly refused to join. These things prove that Loki is an incredible combatant who can hold his own against the mightiest warriors. So, if someone like him joins the Straw Hat Pirates, the three monsters will actually come to an end.
The only way to circumvent the problem is for Oda to make Zoro and Sanji stronger than himself in the Elbaf arc. But that would be too reckless since both would have to be on a similar level to Shanks. If they become Yonko level fighters, Luffy will also need massive power-ups to stay ahead of them. This is why Loki won't join the Straw Hats.
