J.J.K. Fans are extremely excited after hearing the epilogue along with the recent release of the final volume of the series. It's no exaggeration to say that while the ending was satisfying in some ways, it left a lot of loose ends and fans definitely hoped it wasn't rushed.

Although the epilogue chapter does not solve all problems. J.J.K.'s The ending certainly added a lot of interesting content and gave fans a glimpse into various character relationships and how they built up after the Shinjuku showdown. Fans got a glimpse of Nobara meeting her family and how this meeting developed, while also continuing their friendship with Yuji and Ozawa. But best of all, fans got a glimpse into Yuta's family, and there's a huge hint that he ended up with Maki after the Shinjuku showdown arc.

Jujutsu Kaisen continues with an epilogue

JJK's final volume was absolutely massive, not only because it was the final piece of the puzzle to complete Gege Akutami's Magnum Opus, but because it also gave fans access to a new epilogue chapter. Those wondering what happened in the future years after the end of the story now have something to read and enjoy. Announcement about J.J.K.'s The epilogue was created at Jump Festa 2025. It has become clear to fans that JJK will be receiving a 16-page epilogue with the final volume and will focus on specific characters. These characters are revealed to be Nobara, Ozawa, Panda, and finally Uraume. At the time, it wasn't clear to fans how this epilogue would unfold.

After all, giving fans that much POV in just a 16-page chapter seemed quite difficult on paper. Still, it is no exaggeration to say that the author did a good job. Each of these little segments could have been a chapter in and of itself, but fans are glad that they'll at least get something before the series officially ends for good.

Itadori-kun, do you still like snow? – Ozawa

J.J.K. Episode 272 begins with Ozawa's epilogue, and fans watched Ozawa's meeting with Yuji, with whom he fell in love. It's unclear what the writers are going for here, but it's safe to say that it hints that these two characters could end up together in the future. This is certainly exciting for fans, but in the grand scheme of things, Ozawa is a very unrelatable character, so while interesting, it wasn't the most interesting part of the story. Quite easily, fans were shocked to hear that Panda's story takes place many years in the future, when Yuta gives birth to his grandson.

Yuta and Maki may have ended up together

Yuta's grandchildren appeared in Panther's epilogue.

Fans learn about Yuta and Maki's relationship through Panda's epilogue. Essentially, Panther stopped functioning in 2035. By this time, he had reached his limit and this cursed corpse was stored in the Gojo Clan's facility under the instructions of Yuta, the head of the clan. Many fans expected a time skip in JJK at some point, but they didn't expect them to do another time skip, which brought us to 2080.

Some 62 years after the end of the Shinjuku Showdown arc, fans now know that Yuta has a grandson. These grandchildren have definitely been seen by fans, and it's no exaggeration to say that they embody all the elements of Maki and Yuta. One of Yuta's grandchildren is a boy, who appears to be his older brother, and the other is a girl. The girl noticeably resembles Yuta, and the boy looks exactly like Maki, and in many ways resembles Megumi as well.

Of course, these are powerfully shining Zenin genes, and you can never be mistaken.

Unfortunately, fans were unable to see Machina Yuta. But just looking at Yuta's grandchildren, you can see that he ended up having a child with Maki. Unfortunately, Yuta and Maki's children were never revealed to fans, but at least the grandchildren were adorable to see.

Fans were also able to see children running around in the storage space where they found the panda doll. At first, they believed it was just a stuffed toy. The older brother made it clear that this was actually a cursed corpse and a treasure that Yuta loved very much. The corpse began to move, revealing to fans that sometimes the panda could move and talk. Panda then spoke to Yuta's grandchildren, essentially implying that they had done nothing of the kind. This was definitely the comedic part of the story, but it was also the shocking part. Fans can only hope to get a glimpse of Yuta and Maki as well, that would certainly have been a lot more interesting.

What happened to Rika?

Rika is still in JJK after 62 years

Of course, when fans think of Yuta's lover, Rika comes to mind. But given that Rika is a cursed soul, fans knew these two wouldn't actually end up together in the end. In other words, it appears that Rika was involved in the entire relationship that blossomed between Yuta and Maki. This is evident in the fact that Yuta's granddaughter is wearing a ring necklace, and given that it was once there to protect Yuta, it appears that Rika's necklace is now there to protect his granddaughter. This makes even more sense when you look at the fact that he is the child who resembles Yuta the most.

After the war, Rika seems to have become the family's guardian. This means that Yuta and Maki's child was under Rika's protection, and at the same time, their children are now under her protection as well. It wouldn't be surprising if Yuta and Maki's baby was named Rika, but of course, that's just pure speculation on our part.

Regardless, it's truly amazing that Rika is still around and working to protect Yuta's legacy. Hopefully, if J.J.K. Moving on, fans will get a glimpse of old Yuta and Maki along with him.

As of now, that's all fans know about this character, and unfortunately, this part of the epilogue was only two pages long. If the author had written a full chapter on these characters, they probably would have seen both Yuta and Maki in their old age, and potentially even their child. But for now, fans just have to be satisfied with what they get.

The epilogue of Jujuhae Seon has been released as a complete version. The final volume of JJK will be released in Japan on December 25, 2024. The English version is scheduled to be published sometime in 2025.
