It seems like in the past week alone we've made the following big, new announcements in honor of Beyblade Day:First Beyblade World Championship Within a few years. And now it's time to celebrate another Beyblade-centric holiday. International Top Spinning Day, which celebrates the rich history of top spinning, is celebrated every year on the second Wednesday of October. This year's holiday coincides with the Beyblade World Championship, which airs live from Tokyo, Japan this weekend.
Although I did not participate in the main event this year,Despite my best effortsRegardless, I'm excited to watch the tournament. The route of ElenaBEY, the champion representing the United States. While the championships are underway overseas, I'll be getting some competition in my hometown at the new Double Xtreme Stadium, generously provided by Hasbro. You knew I was feeling left out. But don't worry. You can get it next year.
Double Xtreme Stadium is Beyblade X's first motorized stadium and it's a lot of fun. If you're looking for an upgrade to the classic Hasbro arena and want something a little fancier than the standard tournament arena, this is your best option. I don't think this will replace the tournament arena, but this is my new favorite arena for a little chaotic fun.
The first electric Beyblade X Stadium
It's no exaggeration to say that the Xcellerator rail gimmick takes Beyblade to a whole new level. The speed and power of the Beyblade X made the Beyblade X a huge international success.Takara Tomy is working to increase support for the competitive scene..
I like the design of the original Hasbro Beystadium because of the way it forces frequent close combat confrontations.I really enjoyed Drop Attack Stadium. And all kinds of strange situations created by unique gimmicks. But now that I've spent some time in the Double Xtreme arena, I believe it strikes the perfect balance between competitive and chaotic arena. If I could only have one Base Stadium. Maybe this was it.
The size of Double Xtreme is identical to Takara Tomy's tournament Beystadium. You can also pull out the blue Xcelerator rail and plug it into the tournament arena (I'm considering it). If you're still enjoying Hasbro Stadium, there's a great way to get into the wider, tournament-standard format.
Please note that this is not a perfect replacement. The Double There were no issues with stability, but it can rattle a bit if you hit it hard. For tournament play, this is not ideal.
There is also a narrow gap surrounding the center of the stadium, where motorized sections are aligned with smaller Xcelerator rails. I think small parts like needles could get caught in this gap. To be fair, that didn't happen in my testing, but the gap is big enough to be a problem.
These concerns aside, Double Xtreme Stadium resembles a tournament stadium. But of course it has one important advantage over a standard stadium. It's a dual Xcellerator rail.
If you can't get Xtreme anymore, get Double Xtreme.
This Beystadium features a motorized platform in the center of the arena that, when powered by three Triple-A batteries (not included), alternates between sitting horizontally and lowering down to create a pit in the center of the arena. Inside that bit is equipped with its own Xcellerator rail. So this stadium is Double Xtreme.
We've all had plenty of experience with overhyped toys (laser tag was never as cool as it looked in the commercials, right?), but the Double Xtreme Stadium works exactly as advertised. When the bay connects with the rail, it becomes a spinning tornado of death, spinning faster and faster until the platform rises again, at which point centrifugal force sends the bay flying outward. God help every bee that gets in the way.
The genius of the design is that these kinds of moments can only happen under ideal circumstances, ensuring that the big play is always exciting and unexpected. The steady pace at which the central platform rises and falls creates these interesting moments and prevents them from happening too often. When the stars align and the platform is lowered, as Bey traverses the center of the arena at the right angle at the right speed, the results are always spectacular.
Double Xtreme Stadium provided some of the best combat I've ever experienced in Beyblade. When you use two Xcellerator rails, really amazing things can happen. I've seen Bey knock an opponent into the pocket on the outside rail. That Bey bounces back out of the pocket, lands in the center, and gets cooked on the inside rail for a photo-burst finish. It may be competitively unbalanced, but in the many hours I've spent in this arena smashing the Beys against each other, that thought has never once crossed my mind.
