All video game industry events and conventions in 2025

There were all kinds of video game -related events that occur every month for many years. There is always a work from developer -centered conferences such as GDC to large conventions such as Gamescom or PAX.

Even after the unfortunate death of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), there are many events where the player learns about the upcoming release and even in some cases. There are many events already scheduled for 2025, so if you want to know more about when a particular event occurs, you can find it below.

Update on June 1, 2025 by Paul Woodward: Summer is an interesting time for both industry and gamers. This is generally a time when all kinds of games are released and the upcoming game is updated by the developer. Instead of E3, publishers and developers now have a special event that makes the upcoming title spotlight. In addition to Summer Games Fest, the XBOX showcase and PC game show will also be held at the same time.

January 2025 Event

Earlier this year, some large events are in progress. The first was the Consumer Entertainment Show (aka CES), which was held from January 5 to January 10. The second event is the 14th annual New York Game Award on January 21.

February 2025 event

In February, there are not many events except for professional game developers except Dice Summit 2025. This is part of this event. At the end of this month, Steam Next FEST offers the opportunity to see the player's demo of the upcoming game.

March 2025 event

Like February, March is a much more professional game developer than a few months later. As long as the application range is progressed, you can find GDC's panels and workshop recording in the same place as YouTube. Presentation is not for the general public, but for those who are interested in learning more about game design.

April 2025 event

In addition to small events around the world, two well -known events are held in April. The first is the BAFTA Game Award, and in the second half of that month, there is a second annual Gamescom Latam. APRIL will be especially interesting because Nintendo fans will have a nintendo direct on Nintendo Switch 2. There is also an opportunity for players to join Nintendo Switch 2 at some of the upcoming events hosted by Nintendo.

May 2025 event

In addition to Gamescom Latam, Pax East moved to May this year, unlike in March. There is no PAX EAST schedule yet, but if you are interested in attending, you will want to watch the website. Those who like to watch or participate in game tournaments can consider EVO Japan. At the end of this month, Rotterdam also has Twitchcon.

June 2025 Event

Summer is when more bigger events occur. The E3 has been replaced by a streaming event operated by the publisher itself, and there is also a Summer Game Fest of Geoff Keighley, which is a great opportunity to listen to the upcoming game. Two days later, Microsoft will release more about the upcoming XBOX game in the Xbox Games showcase on June 8.

July 2025 Event

One of the important summer events in July is not a symbolic San Diego Comic Con. Originally started as a convention for cartoons, it has been expanded since then, and there have been many panels for video games for many years.

August 2025 Event

There are two major events in August. The first is GameScom and the second is Pax West. Gamescom is a great opportunity to check the upcoming game before the player is released, and PAX is famous for panels, concerts and tournaments.

As summer approaches, there are usually no events until autumn. In other words, the Tokyo Game Show is generally held in September and is always full of new game notices and updates for the upcoming game.

October 2025 event

November 2025 Event

Fans of board games, table games and card games are being treated in November. The PAX Unplugged will be held at the Philadelphia Convention Center in November.

December 2025 event

In general, there aren't many events last month, but it doesn't mean anything to expect. Game Awards is always an exciting event to see which game is winning the year of the year. All kinds of exciting announcements arise in the game award, and you can expect a lot of players as the New Year approaches.
