Writing comics is no easy task. Over the past two decades, more and more issues have come to light, highlighting the challenges facing cartoonists. The biggest problem with writing comics is that it takes a toll on the writer's physical and mental health.
For this reason, more and more writers are stopping their work on comics. Over the years, this problem has become increasingly common, with several writers going on indefinite hiatuses, leaving their comics unfinished. However, this is not the only reason why some comics remain incomplete. In fact, there are other factors that prevent a comic from reaching its conclusion.

Takehiko Inoue's greatest work is Vagabond. The manga began serialization in 1998 and continued to publish chapters almost regularly. However, it was discontinued indefinitely in May 2015. Inoue originally planned to finish the manga after just a few years before losing enthusiasm and deciding to put the series on hold entirely. There is currently no indication that Vagabond will return any time soon.
Vagabond is a novelization of Eiji Yoshikawa's novel 'Musashi'. Inoue added some original ideas and his work took the series to a whole other level. Vagabond delves into the life of Miyamoto Musashi and provides insight into how he rose to the top.

Berserk is the masterpiece of the late Kentaro Miura. The author put his heart and soul into creating this masterpiece, which is why it ranks higher than most adult titles as well as shonen titles on comprehensive websites. Unfortunately, Miura passed away in 2023, leaving the manga's fate hanging in the balance. Miura's best friend, Koji Mori, has made it clear that he intends to complete the story. While Mori's efforts are certainly commendable, Miura's absence is still strongly felt by many fans.
Berserk follows the life of Guts, a former mercenary who lost those closest to him in a terrible incident. But Guts vows to bring those responsible for the travesty to justice.

Hunter × Hunter
-
Author: Yoshihiro Togashi
Often considered the best shonen manga of all time, Hunter x Hunter is a series that offers a truly unforgettable experience. One of the key features that sets the Hunter x Hunter apart from the rest is its incredibly detailed power system. Yoshihiro Togashi put a lot of effort into creating a system that is easy to understand.
In 2009, the manga was put on an indefinite hiatus due to Togashi's health issues. Since then, the author has published a few chapters, but again has not been consistent. In fact, Togashi has already revealed the ending of Hunter x Hunter.

duranki
Duranki may not be as famous as some of the other entries on the list, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great title. This is a manga written by Kentaro Miura, and as expected, the drawings are really great.
Duranki is inspired by Greek and Mesopotamian mythology, and the overall aesthetic stands out globally. It's worth noting that although the manga is over, the studio and publisher decided to pull the plug due to Miura's sudden death.

Nana
Nana is one of the few comics that readers can often relate to. Written by Ai Yazawa, this manga follows the journey of two girls named Nana. Although they have the same name, their personalities are very different.
Unfortunately, the comic has been on an indefinite hiatus since 2009, and as of now, there is no indication as to when the series will return.

One Punch Man
One Punch Man is a modern boy's masterpiece. It's the perfect blend of action, humor, and drama. With ONE working on the script and Yusuke Murata's divine work, it's almost impossible not to fall in love with One Punch Man.
Unfortunately, due to ONE's perfectionist nature, the chances of the comic being completed continue to suffer. The author has already rewritten several important events. Obviously ONE is free to do his story however he wants. However, this is slowing down the overall pace and making it less likely that the comic will ever end.

king's rank
King Rank follows the life of Bozzy, a young prince who is abused by almost everyone in the kingdom. Despite constant negative remarks, Pussy never wavers.
The Rank of Kings comic is still ongoing, which is a good sign. However, fans should remember that the comic went on a major hiatus and only resumed in December 2023 after a long time. I hope the author takes good care of his health and recovers.
