8 Most Deadly Quirks, Ranked By Power

Most of humanity in My Hero Academia possesses some type of Quirk. Most people use their Quirks in everyday life, but Pro Heroes use them to protect others, while Villains use their Quirks for crimes and violence. Every Quirk is useful in its own way, but certain Quirks are far more destructive than others.

The most destructive Quirks in My Hero Academia are wielded by Villains, which is not that surprising, but a few Heroes have very destructive Quirks as well. The only difference is that the Heroes try to hold back to minimize collateral damage. Many of these destructive Quirks have the power to destroy cities and their entire populations, and some can even take down a nation if they are not stopped in time.

My Hero Academia: 7 Most Useless Quirks In The Series

Quirks come in various shapes and forms. While every quirk has its uses, some can be considered borderline useless in MHA.

Double Has The Power To Take Down An Entire Country

Double is a simple, yet very effective Quirk, and in the wrong hands, it can be used to overwhelm militaries and take over entire countries. The user has the ability to make two copies of whatever they touch. The user can make copies of other people, and although their bodies are less durable than the original's, they can still use any Quirk that the original has. This also applies to the user and their Double Quirk.

As a result, the user can copy themselves and then their clones can make copies of themselves. This process can keep going until there are tens of thousands or even a million of copies running around. Double's destructive potential was shown during the Final War, because if Ochaco Uraraka had not awakened her Quirk, an army of clones would have wiped out the Pro Heroes and spread across Japan.

Explosion Can Produce Powerful And Devastating Blasts

The Explosion Quirk is as destructive as it sounds, but at least the user can decide how powerful their explosions become. By excreting and igniting the nitroglycerin-like sweat from their palms, the user can produce explosions. Sweat is a byproduct of physical activity, which means Explosion gradually becomes stronger and harder to deal with as the battle goes on.

If Explosion Awakens, the user can produce multiple explosions at once, which are more condensed and far more powerful. With enough sweat, Explosion can destroy a normal person or reduce a building to rubble with a single attack. If the user were to go all out, they could level an entire city with explosions, leaving nothing behind except flames and craters.

All For One Can Destroy Large Chunks Of A City With The Right Quirks

All For One might be one of the strongest Quirks in My Hero Academia, but it cannot cause widespread destruction on its own. That said, it can destroy large portions of a city under the right conditions. All For One allows someone to steal and use other people's Quirks. Not only can the user seemingly store an unlimited number of Quirks, they can also use as many Quirks as they like at once.

An All For One user can steal Explosion and destroy buildings in an instant. They could steal Earth Flow and use it to cause catastrophic avalanches. With a stolen Air Canon Quirk, the user destroys multiple buildings at once by generating powerful shockwaves from their hands. During the Final War, a stolen Impure Beam caused massive, widespread damage with a single shot. As long as the user keeps collecting Quirks, there is no real limit to how destructive All For One can become.

5

Hellflame Can Incinerate Almost Anything With Intense Flames

Hellflame is one of My Hero Academia's strongest fire quirks, and it is a good thing it was used by Japan's former No. 1 Hero because a Villain could cause serious damage with it. The user can generate intense flames from their body, and they can control their destructive output by regulating the temperature of their flames. That said, overheating can be a real issue with prolonged use.

Hellflame can produce fireballs with enough heat to incinerate most humans. Thanks to Endeavour, MHA Fans know that Hellflame can create whip-like flames that can turn a building into smoldering ruins. Hellflame can also shoot blasts of highly pressurized flames that can reduce surrounding buildings and highly durable Villains with super regeneration to ash. It goes without saying that Hellflame can burn entire cities to the ground.

Decay, Explosion and Hellflame

My Hero Academia: 9 Overpowered Quirks That Can Destroy Cities

While My Hero Academia features countless dangerous quirks, some of the most OP abilities can level entire cities with their destructive power.

4

Blueflame Can Vaporize Everything Within A Three-Mile Radius

Like Hellflame, the Blueflame Quirk gives the user the ability to generate flames from their body at will. Blue fire is notorious for burning hotter than normal flames, which means Blueflame is more dangerous, to the point that even the user's body will burn away with prolonged use. These flames can burn down entire forests and neighborhoods in minutes.

The full extent of Blueflame's destructive power was seen during the Final War, when Dabi attempted to go nuclear. By continuously building up lethal amounts of thermal energy, Dabi demonstrated that Blueflame could explode and vaporize everything within a three-mile radius. This move would ultimately cost the user their life, but it would guarantee the total destruction of a mid-sized city.

3

Overhaul Can Blow Matter Apart With A Simple Touch

The argument can be made that Overhaul is the strongest Quirk in the series, and it would likely have the most broken Quirk Awakening in history. The user can disassemble and then reassemble matter however they please. The only issue is that they can only do this through physical contact, which means they are powerless if they lose their arms. With Overhaul, the user can absorb other people and acquire their abilities.

In terms of destruction, an Overhaul user can instantly blow someone's body apart even if they slightly graze them for a split second. By placing their hands on the street, an Overhaul user can flatten a large chunk of a city in the blink of an eye. Overhaul can also produce massive spikes throughout the area to destroy every building and impale every civilian in sight.

2

Black Hole Can Disintegrate Anything With Extreme Suction

Black Hole is primarily used for search and rescue operations, but it is easily the most dangerous and destructive Pro Hero Quirk in My Hero Academia. The user can create miniature black holes through their fingers, and the suction effect is so strong that even light cannot escape its pull. It is a highly volatile Quirk, which is why a Pro Hero like Thirteen needs to always be aware of her surroundings.

Anything that gets sucked into the user's fingers is instantly disintegrated at an atomic level. Even the user is not immune to Black Hole's destructive power. If a Black Hole user decided to go into a downtown area in the middle of the day, they could eliminate every single person in area and destroy every building by using all ten of their fingers at once.

Some My Hero Academia Quirks that would make someone the No. 1 Pro hero.

My Hero Academia: 8 Quirks That Can Make Anyone The Top 1 Hero

The world of My Hero Academia is filled with powerful Quirks, but these eight in particular can take a Hero all the way to the very top.

1

Decay Can Turn Entire Cities To Dust In Minutes

Decay was originally viewed as a rare mutation, but it was later revealed to be a reverse-engineered copy of the Overhaul Quirk. It had the reassembling portion of Overhaul removed, which turned it into a purely destructive Quirk. By simply touching something with their hands, the user could destroy any living or non-living thing through disintegration. The disintegration process started off slow, but by the end of the series it was almost immediate.

Decay became one of My Hero Academia's god-tier Quirks when it awakened. When this happened, the hand requirement was virtually nullified, as anything that comes into contact with Decay also disintegrates. As a result, Decay can wipe out a city and its entire population. If left unchecked, Decay can spread to the point that it decimates an entire country.
