New Kingdom Come Game's Leaked Title Basically Confirms That Story

As a person who thinks of himself as the greatest Kingdom Come: Salvation Because there really were no fans, I woke up every morning eager to hear more about the next game in the franchise. So imagine how excited I was today when there was an apparent leak regarding the title of the next entry. The most obvious explanation for the word “salvation” is that the next game will likely be about rescuing King Wenceslas, who has technically been the driving force behind the franchise's overall political conflict from the beginning. Henry's personal journey may have begun with a desire to destroy Skalitz and avenge his parents, but everything that happened around him was the result of Sigismund imprisoning Wenceslaus, invading Bohemia, and attempting to secure the kingdom for himself. Of course, Henry and company deal a significant blow to Sigismund before the credits roll. After plundering his silver reserves and rescuing the captured lords at Kuttenberg, the group retreats to Suchidol, survives another siege, and ultimately forces Sigismund and his army to abandon Bohemia for the time being. But that win only temporarily removed Sigismund from the board. It does not restore Wenceslaus to the throne, and it certainly does not free him from captivity. So, while Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 It concludes Henry's revenge story much more clearly than the first game, but it falls short of resolving the conflict that gave rise to that story in the first place.

That would already make saving Wenceslaus in the next game a natural direction, but given the history, the setup feels too perfect to ignore. Wenceslaus escaped from imprisonment in Vienna on November 11, 1403, just a few months after the historical events for which Warhorse is adapted. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. More importantly, he did so with the help of John II of Liechtenstein, and not some random historical figure that Warhorse should have introduced in the first place. The story could follow John of Liechtenstein, introduce a new protagonist who works with him, or use the king's escape as the beginning of a much larger campaign to restore order to the kingdom. Still, if the leaked title is legit, 'Salvation' feels too intentional to ignore. The first two games may end with Sigismund's campaign suffering a significant setback, but Bohemia itself has not yet been saved. The rightful king remains imprisoned, his political future is uncertain, and history suggests that Wenceslaus' escape is just around the corner.

A Hussite war is still possible, but now less likely.

Before this apparent title leak, my original prediction was for the next installment. kingdom come The game will jump into the Hussite Wars and I still think that period will fit the series almost perfectly. The conflict broke out after the death of Wenceslaus in 1419 and plunged Bohemia into an even greater religious and political crisis, with rival factions, large-scale battles, and the emergence of some of the most famous figures in Czech history. Additionally, Warhorse's stay in medieval Bohemia could provide a noticeably different atmosphere to the next game. As Henry grew older and the political landscape changed, the relatively contained struggle against Sigismund would have grown into something much more chaotic.

However, if kingdom come It's truly an adventure Kingdom Come: SalvationThat theory is now significantly less likely, if not certainly impossible. “Salvation” could easily carry religious connotations and could refer to the growing reform movement of Jan Hus and the ideological divisions that would eventually lead to the Hussite Wars. At the same time, a direct jump to 1419 would require Warhorse to skip about 16 years after the end of 1419. salvation 2Wenceslaus' escape from captivity occurred just a few months later and fits the title in a much more immediate and literal way. Hussite Wars may still be where the franchise is ultimately headed, but “Salvation” now seems more like a bridge to get there than a game that finally puts the player at the center of it.

By the end of the day, Kingdom Come: Salvation Since it's still just an obvious title leak, there's every chance Warhorse could come along and make this whole theory look ridiculous. However, in the first two kingdom come The game puts Wenceslaus in prison, introduces him to the very man who historically helped him escape, and concludes just a few months before the escape actually occurred. “Salvation” feels much more than a random subtitle. It's hard to believe that Warhorse will ignore that period forever, but saving Wenceslaus now seems like a much more immediate destination. Whatever the case, the fact that one leaked word has already sent me down the historical rabbit hole is precisely why I love this franchise. Now I need a warhorse to hurry up and tell me whether I'm completely right or terribly wrong.
