marathon Fans were shocked to hear that Sony still plans to support the game despite taking a huge loss from Bungie. Despite the game's disappointing sales, knowing that Season 2 is still likely to be released, many players who have dropped the game may be content to mark their calendars and keep the game on the shelf until then. After all, like most extraction shooters, marathon Casual players are having a hard time keeping up. at least it is had We're entering a difficult era, with recent changes doing wonders to give free kit players a fighting chance.
marathon Players tired of feeling like they have no chance against a group of purple shields may have been waiting for a reset, but if they keep doing that they'll be missing out on a particularly fun era of the game. With only four weeks left until the reset, people will soon be grabbing the best loot and emptying their coffers. That means there's a chance for players to get their hands on rare weapons they've never used before. And one of the Starter Kit adjustments in update 1.0.6.3 gives all Runners a more advanced foundation, so fighting players with this gear no longer feels impossible. In fact, it's so good that I'm having to provide information about faction upgrades now.

Marathon director says Bungie has story plans 'spanning years'
Discussing the future of Marathon, creative director Julia Nardin revealed that the studio has plans for the game's narrative for the next few years.
Marathon's Green Free Kit Is the Smartest Change Ever
while marathon's short kill time theoretically gives the player a fighting chance in any fight, and losing against a shieldless, fully equipped squad definitely feels unfair. And while steep uphill battles and tough grinds for long-term buffs are crucial for extraction shooters, a few weeks later a meta has emerged that only the most dedicated players can take advantage of. So something needed to change to level the playing field, but instead of waiting for a big seasonal content release to do so, Bungie acted faster and solved the problem with free kits of higher rarity.

Armed with a basic shield, a few decent guns, and more powerful healing items, good positioning and clever use of your Runner abilities can help you win battles that seemed impossible with your white kit. For casual players without a vault, this late-season adjustment makes a huge difference as contracts feel more viable and PvP combat feels less one-sided. Free kit of this quality shouldn't always be the standard, but green loses its value if it's always the default and should be desirable again when the season starts. This is a great approach for the final month before a reset is performed. The positive response to the change should say something for Bungie, too. This is because players like how they can boost their free Sponsored Kits.
Instead of the skill tree capstone being built around power-ups marathonIt would be nice to see Rooks (a solo option not utilized by all players) in place to make running the Sponsored Kit feel less miserable. This way, players can swap their white sponsorship kits for green one by one as they progress through priority contracts and faction upgrades. The Cyberacme capstone allowed you to get a green backpack, Arachne could provide you with a green gun, MIDA could provide you with explosives for your Runner, Nucal could provide you with green healing, and Sekgen could equip your Shell with a white core. marathon's free green kit is not only a timely change that proves Bungie has its finger on the pulse of the gaming community, but it could also be a more attractive gateway to track non-Rook users. Yes, it's still available for free for the first two months of Season 2, but hard-working players will be able to get those items a few weeks later to make it easier to fill up their coffers.
marathon Season 2 is scheduled to release in June and run until August, but the exact release date is currently unknown.
Marathon's 1.0.6.3 update brings other big changes
Not only must you do it; marathon Fans worried about being outmatched will consider returning ASAP thanks to this excellent balance tweak, but it's also worth highlighting some of the other smart changes in this particular update. Activities on every map now have the opportunity to earn Prestige Salvage, making it worth fighting for and providing an advanced upgrade opportunity for players who are too afraid of the Cryo Archive. Additionally, anti-stacks have broken the grenade spam meta and made the CARRI arsenal more valuable with better salvage boxes and weekly resets for superior keys. So it's understandable that players might have felt frustrated. marathon I had planned to stick around until Season 2 because of that, so this update now makes it worth giving the game one more try before the big reset.
