On May 18, 2026, Boruto and Naruto's official website, naruto-official.com, released the second preview panel for episode 34 of Boruto: The Two Blue Whirlpools. The focus of this new preview was Boruto Uzumaki teleporting after Mamushi in Konoha, but some light is also shed on Uzumaki Himawari, showing the aftermath of her attempt to save Inojin's eye. In the previous chapter.

in Boruto: Two Blue Swirls In Chapter 33, released on April 20, 2026, Inojin attempted to save Konoha by utilizing Mind-Body Transfer on Mamushi and directing Killing Intent to Daemon, which was reflected in all Mamushi clones and eliminated them forever. Inojin wanted Daemon's eyes to be rendered powerless, so that very action was reflected in all of the Mamushi clones, including Inojin's own body. Essentially, both of Inojin's eyes were destroyed in this attempt, in which case all of his powers as a ninja would have been greatly nerfed. Moments later, Himawari was seen utilizing Kurama's healing powers to heal Inojin.

Boruto: Two Blue Swirls Chapter 34 finally shows us the results, thanks to a new preview. In this chapter, it is clearly shown that both of Inojin's eyes were intact and that Himawari was able to fully restore them, giving him full vision once again. This is a feat of incredible healing power that reminds us of what Naruto Uzumaki did in the Fourth Ninja War in the Naruto manga in May 2014, 12 years ago.

Himawari's restoration power is similar to Naruto's Six Paths Yin-Yang Liberation.

To truly appreciate Uzumaki Himawari's new healing abilities. Boruto: Two Blue Swirls In Chapter 34 we simply return to Naruto's exploits in the Fourth Ninja War. During the war, Madara Uchiha sneaked up on Kakashi and ripped off his Mangekyou Sharingan, transporting him to the Kamui dimension. By this time, Naruto had already awakened the power of the Six Paths, and moments later used Yin-Yang Liberation to restore Kakashi's old eyes, despite stealing them. This was a godly level feat and Naruto exclaimed that he did not understand how he had won.

“Kakashi-sensei, now open your eyes! I guess you could say I took on Kakashi-sensei's role and did something a little hmmm…something!” — Naruto Uzumaki, Naruto Chapter 675

Restoring lost organs is a very difficult task, and in the past, only those with god-like powers could accomplish this task. Himawari Uzumaki did something similar in her Boruto: The Two Blue Whirlpools episode 34 preview. Despite losing both eyes in the previous chapter, she was able to use Kurama's power to fully restore Inojin's eyes. This is, in many ways, a far greater feat than anything Naruto demonstrated in war.

On the surface, this may seem surprising to some fans, but it makes a lot of sense as Himawari and Kurama's synchronization is greater than Naruto's, as officially confirmed in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 10, released in V Jump Issue #7 in May 2024. In this chapter, it is said that Kurama has more synergy with Himawari than Naruto and this allows him to unlock more powers than before. user.

“I can see that your chakra has a higher affinity with mine than the chakra of any of your predecessors. Even more than Naruto's chakra.” — Kurama to Himawari, Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools Episode 10

Anything more will be confirmed later. Boruto: Two Blue Swirls In Chapter 25, Himawari is not a jinchuriki, and she is a human tail beast, just like Jura, the incarnation of the Ten Tails. This means that Himawari's Kurama abilities are much purer and much more powerful than his, allowing her to perform feats that not even Naruto was able to perform in the past.

You are no ordinary shinobi. In fact, you are a little different from a jinchuriki… You are human, but you are more like me and Jura. — Kurama to Himawari, Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools Episode 25

Himawari's Potential in Boruto's Future: Two Blue Vortexes

Himawari Full Potential Boruto Two Blue Vortexes
Himawari is talking to Kurama in her mind.

It goes without saying that Uzumaki Himawari is very powerful now. Boruto: Two Blue Swirls Chapter 34 shows the progress she has made in a very short period of time. However, she has not yet reached the level where she can fulfill her potential as a ninja. Himawari was seen training with Kurama. Boruto: Two Blue Swirls In Chapter 25, it becomes clear that she is greatly disappointing Tails. This means that she has absolutely no chance of reaching her full potential.

It will take several years for Himawari to fully master Kurama's powers, and when she does, Himawari should be able to access abilities such as full Kurama Chakra Mode and a level of healing ability comparable to the Six Paths. Additionally, Himawari can utilize powers similar to Baryon Mode, this time avoiding death due to higher synergy.

Of course, this is all speculation on our part, but the possibility certainly exists and cannot be denied. In both cases, Himawari touted Kurama as having more potential than Naruto Uzumaki, an official statement made directly by writer Mikio Ikemoto and director Masashi Kishimoto. By adulthood she should be far superior to the average Kage level ninja and strong enough to compete with Otsutsuki and even Jura. Once Himawari masters her powers, she should become one of Konoha's elite shinobi and may even surpass Naruto Uzumaki in his prime. This is a significant accomplishment for her and one that we will all be truly grateful for after watching her grow for nearly a decade.

But that requires much more patience. Because Himawari is still very young and not at the level where she can master Kurama's power. She is also not the main character of the series and only plays a supporting role. Most of the focus will still be on players like Boruto Uzumaki, Kawaki, and Sarada Uchiha. Himawari does have her moments, but they happen sporadically and this is something we all need to keep in mind so our expectations can be tempered. In any case, this new Six Path level power-up is something every Boruto fan will celebrate and enjoy.
