7 Bleach characters who hate Ichigo the most
Ichigo's goals may be mostly pure throughout the Bleach story, but there are still characters (mainly antagonists) who dislike Ichigo's guts.
Byakuya or Hitsugaya, fan favorites due to their lack of screen time, being overshadowed by their peers, or simply lacking flashy designs. This is somewhat underrated considering most of the characters' efforts, even though they did a great job protecting Soul Society from harm.
7 Otoribashi Rojuro
Despite his lack of screen time, Rojuro is shown to still be a formidable combatant.
- First appearance: Episode 122
Rose, also known as Rose, was a former captain at the time. bleachThe story begins, and after defeating Aizen, he regains his position and engages in the Thousand Year Blood War. Rojuro often gets a bad rap due to his Bankai scenes, even though he doesn't actually appear on screen that much. Here, he tells his opponent Masc de Masculine exactly how his unique ability works, and Masc hits him right back. .
But considering how strong Rojuro actually is, we still have to give him a lot of credit. His Bankai, Kinshara Butodan, allows the user to use music to create illusions, and Rojuro himself has even claimed that when drawn successfully, it can fool enemies into not breathing. Rojuro's creative Bankai, combined with his special abilities as a member of the Vizored, makes him a truly compelling combatant. It was unfortunate that he was forced to face Sternritter, who was as incredibly strong as the Masc de Masculine.
6 Soi Fon
Soi Fon defeated her tough opponent fairly, even though she was often overshadowed.
- First appearance: Episode 24
The main reason why Soi Fon is sometimes so forgotten is because she resembles Yoruichi. While both are incredibly fast and deadly assassins in their own right, Yoruichi's witty personality and unique powers make her far more interesting than her student counterpart. A useful asset for Gotei 13.

Bleach: Best Bankai (Based on Strength)
How do all the Bankai from the Bleach anime compare to each other? Who is the strongest among them? Find out now.
For example, in Fake Karakura Town, her explosive Bankai and agile movements allowed her to briefly overpower Barragan, once known as the King of Hueco Mundo. Not only that, but she was able to hold her own against BG-9, which could have taken many more lives had it not been stopped during the initial Quincy invasion.
5 Kaname Tosen
He may be remembered as a villain, but Tosen had one of the best backstories of any captain.
- First appearance: Episode 24
Kaname is often remembered as Aizen's lackey who betrayed Soul Society, but the blind swordsman was once the captain of the 9th Division. Kaname is still given a large amount of backstory, making him a much more interesting character than some people think.
Kaname's childhood goal was to become a Shinigami and bring justice to the world, shedding a minimum of blood in the process. Compared to many captains, this is one of the warmest motivations for him to become a Soul Reaper, but it is easy to forget this since he is often seen carrying out Aizen's orders throughout most of the series.
4 Komamura Photos
Komamura doesn't get enough credit for how much he sacrificed to keep his friends safe.
- First appearance: Episode 24
Komamura is one of the captains who doesn't stand out as much as his comrades, but when he does appear, he always goes the extra mile to protect his comrades in any way possible. For example, in the fake Karakura village, it is Komamura who, with the help of Ikkaku and Iba, blocks Choi Neungpo's attack to prevent the Soul Reapers from taking more casualties than necessary.
However, his ultimate sacrifice comes later in the story, during the second Quincy invasion. Initially charging straight for Yhwach's base, Komamura stopped midway to prevent Sternritter Bambietta from continuing his slaughter against the lowly Soul Reapers. Komamura not only releases Bankai, but also reveals his humanoid form, ultimately turning him back into a wolf as punishment. The captain did all this simply to free up less powerful enemies for his allies to deal with on the battlefield. An underrated member of the Gotei 13.
3 Ukitake Joshiro
Ukitake's ultimate sacrifice to stabilize the Three Realms makes him a decidedly underrated character.
- First appearance: Episode 24
Every time Ukitake appears bleach In the story, he is often accompanied by his best friend Kyoraku. Kyoraku's vibrant design and flashy personality often overwhelms Ukitake, who has a much more stoic and solemn personality. Despite his slightly bland personality, it's hard to deny that Ukitake has made truly heroic strides in saving Soul Society and its people from danger.

31 Best Anime to Watch If You Love Bleach
People looking for something good to watch while waiting for TYBW to end should check out fantastic anime like Bleach.
A prime example of this appears during the second half of the Thousand Year Blood War. Here, Ukitake willingly gave his life to protect the Soul King after the Soul King was split in two. Without this sacrifice, the three worlds would have collided, bleach The story would have ended right there. So while Ukitake may sometimes blend into the background, he still deserves much more credit than he often gets.
2 Yamamoto Genryusai
Yamamoto's failures should not overshadow how much he contributed to Soul Society.
- First appearance: Episode 24
Despite being undoubtedly the strongest captain, Yamamoto doesn't get too many opportunities to show off his power throughout the series. Even when he does, it's often at his mercy, such as during his epic bout with Yhwach where he was revealed to have unleashed a Bankai on his clone the entire time, making him look a little foolish.
So it may be easy to criticize Yamamoto. Especially because he can sometimes seem very strict and even hostile towards his claims. However, it is worth remembering that it was Yamamoto who initially founded Gotei 13. Although they were initially considered primarily criminals, Yamamoto was the one who oversaw the group and promoted its development and modernization over the past few centuries.
1 Mayuri Koruchi
Mad scientist revealed to be the hero of the Millennium Blood War
- First appearance: Episode 24
When Mayuri was first introduced in the Soul Society arc, he was presented as little more than a mad scientist and the most morally corrupt of all the Gotei 13. As a result, many people dismissed him as a dangerous psychopath. Although he has the ability to spread chaos and destruction, the truth is that Mayuri's twisted mind has seen him save other captains and even the entire Soul Society on several occasions.
This is especially noticeable in the Thousand Year Blood Battle, where Mayuri discovers that the invaders are not only from Quincy, but are also able to steal Bankai. Additionally, Mayuri single-handedly defeats an army of zombies that would infect the entire Soul Society under Giselle's command. Moreover, he saved many captains from death, including Kenpachi Zaraki. He also played a key role in building the gateway to the Palace of Souls towards the end of the story. It's easy to dismiss Mayuri as just another mad scientist who's lost his marbles, but the captain actually does a lot of the heavy lifting for the Gotei 13, especially in the latter half of the series.
