It's been over four years since Elden Ring first graced our consoles in 2022, but the FromSoftware title hasn't left the minds of most hardcore fans, and indeed, the Elden Ring craze is set to begin again.
For one, Alex Garland of Warfare, Civil War, and 28 Years After fame is directing the live-action adaptation of the video game. The second is because the Nintendo Switch 2 has yet to receive the previously announced port.
Things could change relatively quickly on the Switch 2 side, as Canadian video game and collectibles retailer PNP Games may have accidentally leaked the release date for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition.
As first spotted on Reddit, it looks like the title will be released with a game key card on Friday, July 10th, which is a frequent release day for most modern video games.
As of this writing, the release date is still listed on the PNP site and has not yet been removed. For those of you who haven't heard yet, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition includes:
New armor and customization features for the appearance of the original game, the expansion 'Shadow of the Erdtree' and the torrent.
A month ago, Amazon began taking pre-orders for Elden Ring's Switch 2 port on its site, but that listing didn't include a release date. There's no release date yet from Amazon's side, but that could definitely change once the release date is officially announced.

Elden Ring Reaching 30 Million Sales Isn't the End for FromSoftware, It's Just the Beginning
FromSoftware's success is deserved and something we need to focus on, but we're excited about what's next.
When that will be is anyone's guess. Nintendo is rumored to be holding its own presentation in June, so it would be an appropriate time to reveal it. But Nintendo also plays by its own rules, as evidenced by Star Fox's sudden reveal.
Elden Ring's Switch 2 port has been highly anticipated.
As the Switch 2 improves, fans have been clamoring for more third-party releases, and none is more anticipated than Elden Ring. What could be better than playing FromSoftware on the go? Nothing, that's all.
However, porting the title was delayed for optimization purposes and Bandai Namco was mostly silent. It resurfaced at the Game Developers' Conference (GDC) earlier this year and performed noticeably better both docked and handheld.
Pre-orders are now live and a release date appears to have been leaked, which only increases speculation that it's ready for release.
