Until Dawn: All the totems and where to find them
Hunger Totems have been added to the Until Dawn remake, so it's time to head back into the game and find them all. All locations are:
Since there are so many ways to kill a character and guarantee a bad ending, they balance it out by having several new good endings, one of which seems to hint at a potential sequel centered around Hayden Panettiere's final girl, Samantha. Now that there are multiple “good” endings, until dawnHere's a rundown of all the items, including all the choices you need to make to acquire them.
1 Sam doesn't die (New Sam ending)
Unlocked if Sam survives until dawn.
- Complete all Don't Move sequences in Chapter 10 to ensure Sam's survival.
In a post-credits scene until dawn In the remake, Hayden Panettiere's Samantha Gidding wakes up in her bed in her Los Angeles home years after the incident. until dawn. She woke up bright and early to the vibration of her work alarm at 6am. The phone's lock screen features a close-up image of Sam cuddling his dog. On the bedside table is a book called 'Myths of Plains Creatures' by AN Perkins and several empty pill bottles. When Sam got up and took out his phone to snooze the alarm, he swiped his thumb across the screen, drawing blood. Sam looks down at her forearm and notices a mysterious mark with blood oozing out. She tries to wipe it away, but the bleeding won't stop. Suddenly the scene turns red, and Sam hears a mysterious, disembodied voice calling his name.
To unlock Sam's secret ending, no matter what choices you make throughout the game, Sam must survive.. Sam is one of two characters (the other is Josh) who cannot physically die until Chapter 10. To keep Sam alive, complete all Don't Move sequences during the final confrontation in the villa. If the other characters don't figure it out, Sam's ending wouldn't make much of a difference, as it seems to imply that she was the only survivor of the incident.
2 Everybody Lives (Josh Becomes Wendigo)
Unlocked when Hannah cares for Josh.
- Find Hannah's diary as Sam in Chapter 10.
In the original “best” ending, until dawnIt is possible to save Josh's life, but like Hannah before him, he becomes trapped in a mine and resorts to cannibalism to escape hunger. When the rescue team descended into the mines to find Josh, they found themselves in the heart of the Wendigo's lair, past the corpses of characters who had lost their lives throughout the night. Shining a flashlight down a long passageway, he finds Josh feasting on a stranger's head. They report seeing signs of survivors, but as the Wendigo's spirit begins to physically transform him, Josh turns his head and reveals his razor-sharp teeth. As Josh gets up and assumes a predatory stance, the search party's screams are heard, implying that Josh is attacking them.

Did Until Dawn intentionally kill any characters?
I intentionally killed them all to get the achievement, and it hurt. I don't think anyone would hate him enough to actively kill him, but if he had to choose, he'd probably let Jess meet a gruesome fate.
To unlock the “Josh Becomes a Wendigo” ending, Sam must find Hannah's diary in Chapter 10. There will be a part where Sam and Mike jump into an underground lake. When you first enter, just walk to the left like a spring and there will be a ledge you can climb up. When Sam returns to land, all he has to do is walk towards the camera and the journal will be spread out on the floor. When Sam reads it, she will know that the Wendigo is Hannah. Hannah dug up her sister Beth's corpse and ate it to prevent her from starving to death during the months she was down there. Later, when Sam and Mike find Josh, Mike takes Josh back the way they came, but is ambushed by Hannah and attacked while walking through the water. Once the journal is discovered, Josh will recognize the Wendigo as Hannah and drag him away instead of killing him outright.
3 Everybody Lives (New Josh Ending)
Unlocked when Hannah cares for Josh and Josh has regrets.
- In Chapter 10, play as Sam and find Hannah's diary.
- In Chapter 8, answer Dr. Hill's interrogation with “They hurt me” and “I'm so sorry.”
Ballistic Moon's remake does not remove Josh's original ending, but adds a new ending. This can officially be considered the new “true” ending, since everyone actually lives (and doesn't become a Wendigo). Josh's new ending gives him the opportunity to live a “normal” life like everyone else, which allows him to make amends for his actions as a psycho. In Josh's new ending, Dr. Hill's patronizing words continue to haunt Josh as he sits hunched over in the mine. Dr. Hill says, “I hope for you, Joshua, that you may find salvation,” and Josh slowly raises his head, revealing himself to be very human. No sharp teeth are visible.
To get a new and better ending for Josh, Sam must find Hannah's journal in Chapter 10, but Josh must also show remorse when Dr. Hill interrogates him in Chapter 8. Josh has a choice to make. “They hurt me” When Dr. Hill asks, “Why did you hurt them?” And he will say: “Joshua, they didn’t hurt you on purpose. They made a foolish mistake and a terrible tragedy befell your sisters. They meant for it to happen, but… they just did. And they were sorry. At least. ..until you lock them up in a night of terrible torture.” Josh then has to choose a response. “I’m so sorry.” Unlock his new ending.
