The best electric-type Pokemon in legend: ZA

Pokemon Legends: ZA has plenty of Pokemon to choose from for your team. When it comes to the main types – Grass, Fire, and Water – you will probably choose one of the starter Pokémon available in the game. But what about electric types?

Surprisingly, there aren't that many Electric-type Pokémon to choose from, but there are definitely some that have better options than others. If you can't decide which Electric-type Pokémon to have on your team, here are some recommendations:

Emolga

Mega evolution?

no

How to get it

Grab it from the rooftop west of Wild Zone 14 or Wild Zone 3 after completing the side mission 'Breaktime Battle'.

Emolga isn't the most powerful Electric-type Pokémon by any means (hence why it's last), but it has its own unique types called Electric and Flying, making it completely immune to all Ground-type moves. This can be very useful in the right circumstances.

In addition to these useful immunities, Emolga's moveset can be used to strategize. Launch Electroweb for passive damage, time shield yourself from taking damage, and keep the pressure up with moves like Thunderbolt and Iron Tail.

Heliolisk

Mega evolution?

no

How to get it

Capture the Helioptile in Wild Zone 14 (Clear Sky) and evolve it into a Sunstone.

If you want a true Kalos team, Heliolisk is the perfect choice for an Electric-type Pokemon. Excellent for special attacks and hard-hitting skills like Thunderbolt, Discharge, and Hyperbeam. However, his regular attacks are particularly shabby, so don't bother with the elemental punch moves you can learn through TM.

Heliolisk's secondary normal typing is also vulnerable to Fighting-type attacks in addition to its Electric-type Ground weakness, so be careful when sending it against Ground-types known to use Fighting-type techniques.

Raichu

Mega evolution?

no

How to get it

Catch Pikachu in Wild Zone 3 and evolve it into Thunder Stone.

You can obtain Kanto Raichu very easily by catching a wild Pikachu and handing it the Thunder Stone. Pikachu is available in Wild Zone 3, one of the first Wild Zones unlocked, so you can add this team member right away.

Raichu is a classic and beloved Pokémon, so you really can't go wrong with it. The attack and special attack stats are also the same, so you can use whatever Electric-type attack moves you want.

Towards the end of the game, a side mission called ‘Alola, Raichu’ is unlocked, where you can obtain the Alola Raichu. I recommend the Alolan Raichu over the Cantonian Raichu because of the extra psychic type and slightly higher special attack stat, but since you have to wait so long to get it, I recommend using the Cantonian Raichu.

jolteon

Eeveelutions are always a good choice regardless of what type you want to fill your team with. Jolteon has high special attack power and speed, making it ideal for quickly and easily eliminating opposing Pokémon. Be careful not to take too many hits.

You can learn all the classic Electric-type moves you want to access (Discharge, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, etc.), making it very useful. The only downside is that it doesn't have Mega Evolution, so it can't hit as powerfully as Mega Evolution.

blind faith

Manectric looking into the future in Pokémon Legends ZA.

Mega evolution?

yes

How to get it

Catch Electric in Wild Zone 5 and evolve it into Manerick at level 26.

Manectric is an iconic Pokemon from the Hoenn region and can be obtained fairly early on in Pokemon Legends: ZA. The first evolution, Electrike, is available in Wild Zone 5 and evolves at a low level of 26.

Manectric has excellent special attack stats, making it an excellent choice for using powerful Electric-type moves. Manectric also has Mega Evolution, so you can use it throughout the story when fighting Rogue Mega Evolved Pokemon to easily defeat them.

Elektros

Elektros in the streets of Pokémon Legends ZA.

Mega evolution?

yes

How to get it

Catch Tinamo in Wild Zone 10. Evolve Tinamo into Eeletrik at level 39 and use the Thunder Stone to evolve it into Eelektross.

Eelektross is one of those unique Pokémon that has no weaknesses. While other Electric-type Pokémon are weak to Ground-type attacks, Elektros has the ability to levitate, making it completely immune to Ground-type attacks. You can see why this immediately shoots Eelektross to the top of the best Electric-type Pokemon.

Additionally, Eelektross receives a new Mega Evolution, making it even more useful. Because it has good special attacks and attack power, you can use either type to deal heavy Electric-type damage to your enemies.

ampharos

Ampharos from Pokémon Legends ZA.

Mega evolution?

yes

How to get it

Catch Marif in Wild Zone 1. Evolve Mariff from Flappy at level 15. Evolve Flappy into Ampharos at level 30.

Ampharos is the best Electric-type Pokémon to have on your team in ZA. It has high special attack power that can utilize the most powerful electric-type techniques, and can cover a wide range of types by using various techniques such as Dragon Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, and Flash Cannon.

Ampharos also has Mega Evolution, which not only looks cool and gives you more power, but also gives you the Dragon type as a secondary typing. Ampharos can do it all!

You can get a guaranteed Shiny Mareep by completing the side mission 'A Shiny Mareep?'
