Universes Beyond's precons all look very exciting and are well themed based on the show's main characters and groups, so we'll walk you through everything we know about these four new precons, including their color identities and prices.
What are the four Star Trek Commander decks?
The four Star Trek Commander decks have the following names and color identities:
- Federation Fleet – Jeskai (blue, white, red)
- Landing Party – Vant (Green, White, Blue)
- Klingon Fury – Mardu (Red, White, Black)
- We Are The Borg – Esper (White, Blue, Black)
We can make fairly simple assumptions based on the box art as to which character will be the lead commander for each deck, but it's worth noting that each box contains only one character, and often those who appear also represent the backup commanders for each Precon.

This deck is led by Captain Jean-Luc Picard and relies heavily on card draw and vehicle cards. Star Trek is expected to rely heavily on the station mechanic introduced in Edge of Eternities, powering up space stations to turn them into powerful creatures.
This requires a creature in play, which must be a permanent or token. So while card draw and stations are your main mechanics, you need to make sure you have a way to get creatures into play and protect them long enough to charge your space station.

This deck is led by Spock and relies on the returning mechanic Landfall and “Strange New Worlds”. This second mechanic isn't entirely clear based on what's been revealed in the set so far, but it could refer to artifacts or spell cards containing planet names from throughout Star Trek history. An even more unlikely possibility is that the combat card is returned. will be If done correctly, it will fit your theme.
Klingon Fury
we learned very The MTG Weekly stream barely mentioned Klingons. The only real reference is the fact that there is a Klingon Commander precon led by Worf.
Mechanically, this deck looks like it will be an all-out attacker at the table, much like the Avengers Assemble deck from Marvel Super Heroes. I'm looking forward to a creature-heavy decklist and spells that focus on dealing damage or boosting the power of creatures.

Lastly, there is the Borg deck led by the Borg Queen. Based on the Borg cards we've seen so far, it's reasonable to assume that fairy tales will play a big role in this deck. This mechanic appears to interact with other players' graveyards and bring creatures back to the battlefield, controlling them only as Borg and not as their previous type.
How much do Star Trek Commander Precons cost?
Given that Star Trek is a Universe Beyond set, the base price for each piece is slightly higher. This reportedly covers the additional cost of licensing each UB set.
