As Sung Jin-Woo, you will be responsible for most of the battles in the main story. Solo Leveling: Arise OverdriveBut building your team wisely, using only the strongest Hunters you can afford to recruit, can make the difference between life and mission success, or death and trying again.
Each Hunter in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive brings something unique to the table through the elements they specialize in and the consistent combat role they will play when they join a team. Use your hard-earned Hunt Coins only to level up your most powerful solos: Arise Overdrive Hunters and Power Ups.
Lee Joo-hee, Song Chi-yul, and Yoo Jin-ho are omitted from the list as they are unlocked by default through story progression in Chapters 1 and 2. These are Hunters whose job contracts you will need to negotiate after completing Chapter 3 of the main story.
Choi Jong-in

Recruitment Difficulty |
stiff |
If you are a S-class hunter or solo leveling fan, Choi Jong-in needs no introduction. He is the most powerful Hunter in the series, and when you first talk to him in the Player Hub, Sung Jin-Woo will be amazed to meet him. However, this infamous Hunter is worth getting Hunt Coins for, despite being one of the most difficult negotiations.
That's because Jongin has the highest base attack stat of any hunter in the game, and he has many opportunities to deal damage while acting as a mage in battle.
Not only does Choi Jong-in have really good AoE damage, but using fire skills to compound burn damage and make enemies explode vividly is one of his specialties on the field.
Amamiya Mirei

assassin |

Recruitment Difficulty |
stiff |
Mirei Amamiya will already be familiar to fans of the manga since Solo Leveling Arise received a spinoff volume. Not only is this Wind Assassin great on his own in combat, but once you unlock Woo Jin-cheol's second Hunter, the two become unstoppable.
You can expect excellent burst damage when Mirei Amamiya is on the scene, and her super armor makes it much trickier to hit enemies in a meaningful way when they counterattack. She's ready for battle at a moment's notice and will show what she can bring to a team composition.
Woo Jin-cheol

Recruitment Difficulty |
stiff |
Solo Leveling: As mentioned above in Amamiya Mirei's entry on the list of the best recruitable hunters you can expect in Arise Overdrive, you'll find that Woo Jin-cheol is a near-perfect match for the aforementioned Wind Assassin. However, even on his own, Woo Jin-cheol has many uses in the field.
With such impressive protection and destruction abilities, he's essentially a must-have if you're looking to perform a meaningful defensive break, allowing your other teammates to rush in and attack while the enemy is down and distracted. He works well with almost every Wind character, but we see him shine brightest with Amamiya Mireis.
Baek Yunho

Recruitment Difficulty |
stiff |
You'll have to get used to the much heavier playstyle of a character like Baek Yun-ho, but you'll find that there's no shortage of impressive moves and techniques in this light fighter, especially if you get to use him in co-op play mode.
You will find that Baek Yun-ho not only has a pretty good DPS compared to other characters of his class, but he is also close to invincible. He has tremendous defensive stats paired with strong DPS, allowing him to get up close to the enemies he kills and take them down with ease.
Nam Chaeyoung

aqua |
|---|---|
|
role |
Archer |
|
Recruitment Difficulty |
easy |
Solo Leveling: This is the easiest negotiation you'll face among the characters on our list of the most powerful hunters in Arise. Nam Chae-young is an excellent addition to the team no matter who they bring in. She is a ranged Aqua user who can safely escape the action to protect herself.
Solo Leveling: Observation Order
Solo Leveling is a popular anime series recently. If you need guidance on viewing order, you've come to the right place.
She is considered one of the more beginner-friendly teammates due to her low investment cost for her high return on ranged damage. If you need support from afar and are not yet confident in being a long-range fighter on the field, consider Nam Chaeyoung.
Bora Lee

Recruitment Difficulty |

But once you've gotten used to having a ranged warrior on your team, especially one whose magical powers will be central to your combat, consider bringing Lee Bora along for your team's next mission in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive. Another difficult recruitment negotiation to pull off, Bora Lee has several roles to fulfill on the team, so it's worth the effort.
As a Shadow Mage, you'll find that Ivora not only has great DPS abilities, but she also has strong support skills. But it won't be long before you upgrade both of these stats and continue to use Lee Bora with your team in the endgame of Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive.
Cha Hae-in
|
element |

|---|---|
|
role |
fighter |
|
Recruitment Difficulty |
normal |
If you like racking up critical damage (and increasing the speed at which you score critical hits in combat), you'll definitely want to invest in Cha Hae-in sooner rather than later. Unlike most of the hunters on our list, she only has Normal difficulty when recruited, making her much easier to convince your teammates.
Once she gets into battle formation, you'll find Cha Hae-in helpful in many ways. This includes, but is not limited to, never giving enemies a chance to heal. This ability will also help her in combat-heavy dungeon crawls and boss battles with minions.
Alicia Blanche
|
element |
aqua |
|---|---|
|
role |
magician |
|
Recruitment Difficulty |
stiff |
You'll be hard-pressed to find an Aqua user with better damage output than Alicia Blanche, just by her sheer numbers. She's a staple on any Aqua team, but she's strong enough to stand on her own when placed on a mixed team.
As a mage, you'll have to be a bit more careful about where she stands in the field than other characters who move around more and engage in more close-quarters combat. However, as long as you know how to keep her safe (her HP is relatively low to start with and will need to be updated over time) she is definitely worth recruiting.
