Rayman Legends Retold Release Edition is very limited

Ubisoft France has claimed that the stunning limited launch edition of Rayman Legends Retold will be sold in very “limited quantities” for one day only.

It's been a while since Rayman fans had high hopes, but 2026 promises to be a groundbreaking year for everyone's favorite limbless hero. Not only did we get a 30th anniversary edition of the game that started it all, but we got a full-blown remake of one of Rayman's best adventures that could usher in a new era for the series.

Not only was it great to see Rayman back in the spotlight, it was also refreshing to see how much care and attention Ubisoft put into his return. A good example of this is the lovely physical release version of Legends Retold, which looks like it'll be pretty hard to get hold of the game once it's released.

The awesome launch edition of Rayman Legends Retold will definitely be on sale for a day

Take Launch Edition literally

As pointed out by Twitter user RaymanForSmash and originally reported by Nintenderos, Ubisoft France recently gave us a sneak peek at the launch edition of Rayman Legends Retold. For those who don't know, the launch edition comes with a unique box, the Glade of Dreams map, three lithographs, and the exclusive Hoodlum Havoc skin pack.

Along with the unboxing video, Ubisoft France confirmed in a follow-up tweet that the launch edition of Rayman Legends Retold will quite literally follow its namesake in that it will hit stores in “limited quantities” for “one day” only. It's worth noting that this is especially relevant for launch editions, since the base version of the game is sold like any other title.

Still, it sounds like the best version of Rayman Legends Retold might be a bit difficult to find, especially in physical game stores once the game is released. At the time of this writing, it appears to still be in stock almost everywhere, but there's no telling how long it will last. Especially when people realize this may be the last Rayman game to be released on disc.
