Introducing the final villain is always a difficult task for any writer; one pieceThe Elbaph arc in the latest chapter did a great job introducing Nerona Imu, the founder of the world government. Immu is the ultimate threat that Luffy and the Straw Hats will face in the final story. one pieceAnd this development of the story is reminiscent of Madara Uchiha's arrival on the battlefield in the Fourth Ninja War. naruto. Madara is widely remembered as one of the greatest anime antagonists of all time, and Imu is now doing something similar, with the potential to surpass the legacy of the legendary Madara Uchiha.

There are many strong female characters in One Piece, but only a few of them are at the Yonko level.
How Madara Uchiha's Shinobi Alliance Debut Set the Standard for Anime Villains
Madara is widely regarded as one of the best anime villains, and much of that comes down to his overwhelming strength. Madara showed his strength when he arrived on the battlefield during the Fourth Ninja War. As soon as he was introduced, Madara displayed enough skill to overwhelm an entire ninja battalion. Even when top tiers like Kage, including powerful shinobi like Naruto, attacked him, Madara was able to overpower them all. With just a fraction of his strength, he could kill almost anyone who stood in his way.
Madara was the personification of overwhelming power, and this, combined with a compelling story that showed him embarking on a journey to achieve true world peace, made him an incredibly compelling villain. Truly, Madara Uchiha set the gold standard for anime villains with his incredible performance.
Nerona Imu replicates Madara's feat by overpowering Elbaph.
It is undeniable that Madara's greatest appeal is his overwhelming power, and Eiichiro Oda brilliantly recreated this with Nero and Imu in the Elbaf arc. As soon as Imu arrived in Elbaph, it felt like the world of One Piece was ending, and this impending doom was reminiscent of the feeling Naruto fans felt as they made their way through the chapters featuring the Uchiha's ghost.
Neronaimu represents the purest form of evil in the One Piece series, and his mere presence has had people fainting left, right, and center due to the sheer power of Haki the Conqueror. Moreover, Imu's presence gave overwhelming evil power to those around him, transforming them into the devil incarnate. Imu's power is truly overwhelming, and in the most recent chapter, One Piece 1180, Imu completely destroyed some of the most powerful characters in the One Piece universe such as Zoro and Sanji, as well as members of the Giant Pirates. This overwhelming display of power is reminiscent of what Madara Uchiha did in the Fourth Great Ninja War, and in some ways on a much larger scale.

Imu's overall power level analysis
The final antagonist needs to be massively overpowered, and Eiichiro Oda does not disappoint Immu in that regard. He is the most powerful character in all of One Piece, becoming immortal 800 years ago and continuing to survive ever since. Although Imu is currently nerfed from Elbaph, he is still incredibly strong and can take out anyone who stands in his way.
Holy place… I leave it to you. — Nerona Imu, Chapter 1179
Imu possesses the power of the Devil Fruit, or Akuma no Mi, which predates all other fruits and literally has the power of the devil himself. Upon undergoing this demonic transformation, Imu can utilize and unleash tremendous combat abilities. Aside from that, Imu can also use magical powers, such as covenants that grant his subordinates incredible abilities such as immortality, regeneration, and superhuman strength.
He can also use spells to enslave his enemies to demons he can command, or completely obliterate them with powers such as the Omen, which creates a massive flame capable of eliminating the elites of the One Piece world in a single strike. Imu is currently an overwhelming villain who cannot compete with anyone in the One Piece world. This is why he's already established himself as one of the best antagonists in all of comics.
Why Eiichiro Oda's final villain will fix Madara's biggest flaw
Madara Uchiha was a great character, but his destruction was his last work, and unfortunately Kishimoto didn't write it very well. Madara ended up being used as a vessel to bring Kaguya Otsutsuki back, becoming a tool in someone else's game. To make matters worse, the villain who replaced Madara was worse and ruined the end of the Fourth Shinobi War for many people.
With Imu, Eiichiro Oda is doing something completely different. He is established as one of the strongest villains who is deeply entangled in the overall plot of One Piece, which connects the Void Century, Joyboy, and the first world 3,000 years ago. Imu has the potential to surpass Madara Uchiha as the best anime antagonist, and the only thing Oda needs to do is continue down this path and give him a proper conclusion.
