Nintendo faced a variety of challenges with the launch of the Switch 2, including pricing controversy, but it has sold millions of units so far. As the console's installed base grows, new updates are released to improve the user experience.

The latest of these updates was released on November 24 and brought the system to version 21.0.1. Aside from the usual general stability improvements, the patch notes also revealed some specific fixes that will make life easier for users. First, the update addresses an issue where an error code appears on the switch when attempting to transmit to Switch 2 over local communications. Nintendo also addressed an issue that prevented some wireless controllers and Bluetooth audio devices from connecting to the system after using sleep mode or turning off airplane mode.
It's worth noting that the original Switch also received an update. Surprisingly, it fixes the system transfer bug mentioned above and includes general stability improvements. As with past system updates, it's unclear exactly how these general improvements will improve the user experience. Switch and Switch 2 users should have no problems moving their systems to the latest version. Nintendo notes that the latest version should be downloaded automatically. This system update comes at a busy time for Nintendo.
