Xbox's big console update is rolling out to everyone
A month after the feature became available to Xbox Insiders, Microsoft's latest Xbox Series X/S update has been slowly rolling out to all users of both consoles. The update brings new customizable guide colors, increases the number of available groups to 10 (up from the previous limit of 2 groups), and adds new profile badges to celebrate various milestones achieved by Xbox players. Most notably, the update adds a new feature to the Quick Resume feature, allowing players to disable it for certain titles.
Last month, Xbox Insiders were also introduced to a few new handy features that weren't previously explained. As part of the system's cloud gaming interface, Xbox has added more ways to measure streaming quality. Specifically, user-selected resolution and network quality indicator options give players more control over the appearance and performance of their cloud streaming games. A new Play History tab has now been added to the My Games & Apps tab, allowing players to view their history without having to return to the home menu.
The latest update brings a lot of convenience to players, especially with the new Xbox Quick Resume settings. The ability to return to a paused game even after turning off the system is a new feature, but online-centric games tend to have issues with this feature.
