Nintendo's internal project code name seems to have been found, but I don't expect it to be called it called.
In addition to the only real release title of Switch 2, Mario Kart World is a great moment for Nintendo. It not only takes the series to the new open world, but also leaves the 10 -year -old Mario Cart 8 to the dust, creating a way for the new era of Mario Kart. That era is a time of working for a while.
Mario Kart World has been officially released a few months ago and shared amazing details on the development history, including the Nintendo Switch title. One Nintendo Not so But what was revealed was what was the name of the world's internal code, but it didn't prevent it from slipping.
Mario Cartworld's internal code name is very
It also matches the previous Mario Kart project title.
Nintendo may have not revealed the name of the internal code itself in Mario Kart, but NintendoP found it “after checking the various materials of the game.” As recently released on the website, Mario Kart World is simply called “drive”, so the code name is very simple.
Sorry if you are looking forward to something more complicated, but Nintendo seems to literally text the internal name of Mario Cartworld. Of course, in this case, Drive is likely to mention a specific focus of the game's open world and what can go anywhere, but we hope that it will be the title “COW”.
This code name is very consistent with Nintendo used for other Mario Kart games. As Nintendosoup pointed out, Mario Kart 7 was a “Dash” code lime during development, and “Turbo” was used in Mario Kart 8. Nintendo doesn't seem to actually tie a specific gameplay mechanism or theme to the code name of the Mario KART game.
Nevertheless, even if there is nothing special about the internal code name of Mario Kart World, it is better to know a little more about how Nintendo approached during the development of the game and the long development of the game.
