LEGO fan creates life-size GameCube build idea using controller
Reddit user Rockets_Everywhere has come up with a custom 1:1 scale LEGO build of the classic GameCube, the console they grew up with. Highly detailed LEGO MOC shows cable ports, disk storage compartment and working opening mechanism. Also included is a replica of the GameCube's cable controller, which retains the original button colors. According to Rockets_Everywhere, the controller handle is still a work in progress, but the size is already just right.

LEGO Master Builders plans to order the parts needed to bring the custom CameCube to life in the future. This isn't the first time Rockets_Everywhere has attempted to create an iconic console in LEGO format. They've also showcased build ideas for the original Wii using remote controls and Nunchucks, and have previously customized PlayStation 4 builds. Like Rockets_Everywhere, many other players also paid homage to the gaming hardware of their childhood. One LEGO fan cloned a PlayStation 1 using the disc slot and controller port.
Starting in 2020, LEGO has released a set of well-received licensed retro game consoles, including the Atari 2600 and Game Boy. More recently, in June 2026, LEGO released the 479-piece SEGA Genesis set. There are rumors that LEGO is planning to release an official PS1 set that will also include a controller in December 2026, but fans will have to wait for an official announcement in the coming months.
