Nonetheless, JJK Vol. Volume 3 has already been translated, and many interesting contents have been revealed. When Gege Akutami started writing JJK, he already had the idea of killing off three of his characters in mind. At the end of the series, Gojo Satoru dies while Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara all survive. But things changed dramatically in 2009. Jujutsu: ModuloAnd the trio didn't get the happy ending many were hoping for.

Yuji Itadori seemed to have lost his purpose in life. After witnessing the deaths of his friends one after another, Yuji no longer knew what to do with his life. After consuming Death Figure 4-9, Yuji Itadori's aging slowed down tremendously, and he barely aged compared to other people. This is why he became disconnected from society, and returned to help the younger generation at the end of Volume 3 of the JJK Modulo.

Yuji eventually discovers his true purpose once again in Modulo Volume 3 and decides to help create a new world where cursed energy is kept to a minimum and cursed souls are no longer born in large numbers. To this end, Yuji sought help from Nobara Kugisaki, and officially reunited with her in the final volume of the module on May 1, 2026. Now it has been officially confirmed that Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki will be working together once again to establish a new generation of wizards.
The goal of retention is simple. He seeks to find all Celestial Limited users who will be born after he and Maru together remove the cursed energy from the majority of the next generation of people. At the same time, Yuji Itadori plans to mass produce all the powerful curse tools in the Gojo Clan's inventory. Satoru Gojo's official return has finally been confirmed in a new teaser for Jujutsu Kaisen season 4.
Megumi Fushiguro dies at an unknown location after the Shinjuku incident.
While Yuji and Nobara's endings are pretty clear, Megumi's ending is somewhat unsatisfying and disappointing. Megumi Fushiguro did not appear at all in Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo Volume #3. The only mention was by Yuji Itadori in Chapter 25, which marks the conclusion of the entire volume. In this particular chapter, it was clear that Yuji had missed the presence of Megumi Fushiguro. In other words, Megumi is already dead. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear at this time, but considering how much time has passed since the Shinjuku Shodown incident, we can only assume that it was a natural death.
Nobara: Who knows how to become a cursed object?
Yuji: So that means we all have to find a way together.

This also explains why Yuji was so distraught and lost his purpose in life. It must have been traumatic for him to see his close friends, including Megumi Fushiguro, dying before his eyes, and he did not know how to cope with such loss. Thankfully, Megumi's memory lives on within Yuji Itadori, and his will will live on for a long time to come.

Jujutsu Kaisen could explore the future of Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki in a new one-shot following the conclusion of Modulo
while Do a jujutsu Modulo Chapter 25, officially released on March 8, 2026 and finally released in volume format on May 1, 2026, concluded the story of the main trio. These endings can still be expanded upon if Gege Akutami wishes. After the conclusion of serialization of the JJK module in Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, an editor's note officially confirmed that Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaki are looking forward to continuing their work as manga artists.

It's unclear which series he'll tackle next, but there's still a chance he'll return to Jujutsu Kaisen once again. This is because Yuji Itadori has officially implemented a plan to train the next generation of wizards in a world where humans and Rumelians cooperate. A lot of research on extraterrestrial technology is underway. At the same time, the most interesting plot points are set at the end of the film. JJK Modulo In Volume 3, Yuji Itadori mentions that he too will become a cursed being, just like Ryomen Sukuna.
Yuji wants to transform into a finger, and if things go wrong in the future, he wants to be eaten by the person who will become the next protagonist. Then, just as Sukuna was reincarnated at the beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji will do the same. This brings the whole story full circle and marks the perfect conclusion to Itadori Yuji's life. It's something we absolutely can't wait to see if the author intends to explore it.
