Ineffa Ascension & Talent Mats

The developers at Genshin Impact are hyping the release of Nod-Krai by introducing one of the region’s characters a little early, much like they did with Kazuha in Version 1.6. This time around, Ineffa is the Nod-Krai representative. She’s an Electro polearm character from Nod-Krai that has found her way to Natlan.

Originally created by Aino at the Clink-Clank Krumkake Workshop, Ineffa is actually a robot. She also introduces the new Lunar-Charged Reaction to the game, which functions a little differently from traditional elemental reactions.

Gemstones – Where to Find Vajrada Amethyst

Like all Electro characters, Ineffa uses Vajrada Amethyst in her ascension. It can be harvested from boss rewards, specifically these bosses:

Formerly only used by Ororon, Glowing Hornshrooms are now used by Ineffa as well. These strange fungi can only be found in Natlan, specifically around the Masters of the Night-Wind.

Boss Drop – How to Get Secret Source Airflow Accumulator

The Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device is a boss in Natlan, located south of the Collective of Plenty on an island off the coast of the volcano. This boss is the one that you need Cryo characters to take down easily.

It drops the Secret Source Airflow Accumulator item, which is used in Ineffa’s ascension. Both Dahlia and Escoffier use this item as well, meaning all three characters that use it as of Ineffa’s release are originally from other regions, not Natlan.

Found everywhere in Natlan, Sauroform Tribal Warriors are the residents of the Pyro nation who can be challenged to a skirmish. When defeated, they drop whistles, which Ineffa needs for her ascension and talent upgrades. At higher levels, they can drop better quality whistles:

Talent Books – Conflict

Conflict Talent Books Blazing Ruins Natlan - Genshin Impact

There are three talent book series in Natlan, and Ineffa joins Ifa, Chasca, Kachina, and Varesa in using the Conflict series specifically. These books can be obtained from the Blazing Ruins domain on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Genshin Impact: Every Domain Schedule

Knowing the schedule for some of Genshin Impact’s Domains can help players collect certain items relatively painlessly.

Trounce Materials – Eroded Sunfire

The final Ineffa mat needed is the trounce domain item she uses in her talent upgrades: Eroded Sunfire. This item is only dropped by the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire inside the Stone Stele Records trounce domain, unlocked through the Natlan Archon Quest.

If you haven’t progressed far enough to unlock this trounce domain, never fear. You can use the Quick Challenge function to attempt it directly without meeting the story requirements. However, this can only be done in solo mode and at Adventure Rank 40 and higher.
