I'm already heartbroken over my Shiny Pokémon Legendary: ZA Mega Evolution.

You could argue that Pokemon Legends: ZA is not the easiest game in the franchise, but I think it's pretty straightforward in terms of combat, mechanics, exploration, etc. For this reason, not only was I appalled by the game's lengthy tutorial, as I felt it was unnecessary, but it ended up limiting my access to exploring Lumiose City a lot. As soon as I finished the tutorial, I started looking for my favorite Pokemon, including Staryu. Pokemon Legends: ZALitleo in Wild Zone 2 or Wild Zone 3 at night. Not long after my first few promotion matches, I started experimenting with the game's shiny hunting mechanics, and that's how I found my first shiny Alpha Litleo napping in Wild Zone 3.

I was very excited to discover it and it felt like it was meant to be, as Mega Pyroar is probably my favorite new Mega Evolution. Pokemon Legends: ZA It's been a fantastic experience for me so far, and since I really wanted Mega Pyroar instead, I decided to leave Emboar behind and build a team without a starter. But the monkey's feet were curled.

Shiny Alpha Little Leo from Pokemon Legends Za

I added something shiny Pokemon Legends: ZA It's my first and most wanted game as an alpha, but I've just found out that the game is already breaking my heart. By then it was clear that we wouldn't be able to get all the Megastones. Pokemon Legends: ZA This is possible through story progression from the beginning, trading Stone Emporium and Mega Shards. Unfortunately, Mega Pyroar's Pyroarite is only available in Mission 37, the final mission in the game before post-game content.

How to Get All New Mega Evolutions and Stones in Pokemon Legends: ZA

To be honest, I was shocked. pokemon A game that revolves around some of the most beloved gimmicks in the franchise will limit your time with the Mega Stones in favor of a new Mega Evolution behind a mission that requires a lot of time for the story, but I wasn't prepared for that. Many of the new Mega Evolutions are only available at very distant points in the game. This means that even if you have 26, you won't be able to fully form a new Mega team early on.

Pokemon Legends ZA Mega Malamar Trailer Thumbs Up

What this means is that, aside from Eternal Flower Floette and Mega Floette, Mega Pyroar and Mega Malamar are the last new Mega Evolutions you can unlock in the game, even after Mega Zygarde. It doesn't make sense to me that new Megas for Pokemon that aren't as popular as other Pokemon would only be available post-game, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I found out about this.

Story-wise, it makes perfect sense for Zygarde to be unlocked at the end, and I don't think anyone would have put that in the planned starting team. But lock Pokemon Legends: ZAMega Malamar and Pyroar finishing the game makes no sense, and makes even less sense considering that Malamar's Mega Evolution was probably the most advertised product.

Pokemon Legends: ZA's Timed Mega Evolution Is a Headscratcher

Likewise, you may find that some megas require time limits for story purposes or game balance. Mega Starmie is OP. Pokemon Legends: ZASo I'm not too upset that it's stuck behind Mission 34, even though it's one of my favorites and I strongly believe the new Megas should be released sooner. But having a random Pokémon like Pyroar stuck behind the entire game is head-scratching, and it breaks my heart that my first and favorite shiny thing will only become more “valuable” at the end of the game. For example, I wanted to use the Mega Pyroar on my team to take on the Mega Beedril starting in mission 19, but obviously that wasn't in the cards.
