Agnes Tachyon is a rather eccentric racer in Umamusume: Pretty Derby who is obsessed with her dangerous experiments. She might be a strange one, but she really knows how to bring out her full potential with even less stamina, so you can build her easily by focusing on other essential stats.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Best Special Week Build
Every week is special with this racer.
She doesn’t have to play nice, as you can acquire skills to affect the performance of other racers. Your strategy will involve getting a massive lead during the final spurt, which you can do by increasing speed during the final moments of the race. You will also need to increase her wits substantially to get the skills to activate when you need them.
Updated October 31, 2025 by Zoë J. Osik: We’ve updated our guide to include more optimal stat ranges and support cards so Agnes Tachyon can thrive in her career. We’ve also included a breakdown of her career and events for your best odds at success.
How To Play Agnes Tachyon
Agnes Tachyon is one of the easier Pace Chasers to build, particularly because she doesn’t rely on high stamina. You can also increase her Speed easily with 20 percent growth rate. Raise her Guts quickly with a ten percent growth rate as well, so she will have balanced stats in crucial races.
Agnes Tachyon specializes in medium races, but there are some long races in her career, so you will need to work on improving her distance aptitudes. She doesn’t do well in mile and sprint races, but if you have higher speed, you will win in these categories as well.
Other than running in pace position, she can also perform well as a Late Surger, especially if you have lower stamina, but you will need more power here to push through the front.
Avoid playing her in the front, because even though she is stamina efficient, she won’t have high stamina stats, and you should focus on other stats to help her utilize her strengths as a Pace Chaser.
Your strategy will involve using speed and power to remain ahead of opponents. When you start running out of stamina, Agnes Tachyon will use her unique skill to gain a massive stamina boost. This will be enough combined with her guts, and she will overtake the front-runners to come out victorious.

Agnes Tachyon needs Speed the most, so throughout your career, you should focus on increasing it as your first priority. Your second priority should be power, so she has fewer crowding issues. You also need enough Wit for her to activate her skills consistently.
If you have trouble getting your power high, then you should acquire more skills that will help you against crowd.
Most of the races in her career will be medium, and for that, you will need around 300 stamina. However, during the Ura Finale, you will need much more, so increase it to at least 400 by then.
You need Guts for that final push with Agnes Tachyon in case she runs out of stamina. This doesn’t need to be too much, especially if your stamina stats are high, so around 380 is a good number.
Legacy Recommendation
For her inheritance, legacies of your Umamusume that have high-speed sparks will be helpful. We recommend Tokai Teio and Mihono Bourbon, who will give you the highest bonuses in the stats you need.
Tokai Teio’s unique skill, Sky-High Teio Step, is suitable for Agnes Tachyon and can give her the final push required for victory. If you have trouble building up power, you can also use Gold Ship for the required sparks.
Agnes Tachyon Best Skills
Agnes Tachyon can be a menace to other racers if you activate skills that decrease their performance. She also benefits from stamina-preservation skills, considering that she doesn’t have high stamina stats. You should also acquire skills that let her fight better during the final spurt.
