Umbreon and Espeon are elusive eeveelutions in Minecraft's Cobblemon mod. Players looking to get their hands on these Pokemon have two methods they can use. They can either capture an Eevee and evolve it, or find wild Umbreon and Espeon in the Overworld and catch them directly.

How to Evolve Eevee into Umbreon or Espeon in Cobblemon
In Cobblemon, Eevee gets the ability to evolve into Umbreon or Espeon when it reaches 160+ Friendship. Once it reaches this level of Friendship, the “Evolve” button will appear underneath Eevee's portrait in the status screen.

To evolve Eevee into Umbreonwait until nightfallclick on Evolve, and select Umbreon in the Evolution window on the right.

To evolve Eevee into Espeonwait until daytimeclick on Evolve, and select Espeon in the Evolution window on the right.
How to Find Eevee
Eevee is a rare or ultra-rare spawn in any grounded Overworld area in the game. However, because it shares its spawn pool with many other Pokemon, it is exceedingly rare in practical terms.
To make finding Eevee (and other Pokemon) easier, we recommend the Cobblemon Pokenav mod (CurseForge/Modrinth). This mod adds the Pokenav item to the game, which can be used to instantly see the exact chance of a Pokemon spawning in the area/biome you're standing in. The spawn rate percentage screenshots in this article were taken using this mod.
In a previous version of Cobblemon, players could cheese Eevee encounters by building a platform on top of the ocean biome. However, that method no longer works because Eevees no longer spawn in the ocean biome.
How to Increase Friendship in Cobblemon
There are a few different ways to increase Friendship with Pokemon in Cobblemon:

Level up.

Win battles against Pokemon and trainers.

Walk alongside your Pokemon.

Have your Pokemon eat Friendship-raising berries (Tamato, Qualot, Pomeg, Kelpsy, Hondew, and Grepa).

Have your Pokemon equip the Soothe Bell Held Item, which increases every instance of friendship gain by 50%.

Catch your Pokemon in a Luxury Ball, which increases every instance of friendship gain by +1.
You can check Friendship status of a Pokemon in the status screen's third tab, under “Other.”
Where to Find Umbreon and Espeon in the Wild
- Umbreon spawns as an uncommon, rare, and ultra-rare encounter in almost all biomes in the Overworldjust like Eevee.
- Espeon is much rarer. In our testing, it only spawns as an ultra-rare encounter in the Volcanic Crater biome in the Overworldand nowhere else.
Do note, however, that both Eeveelutions have a much lower catch rate compared to Eevee, and spawn between level 28 and 53. Make sure you bring a high-level team with plenty of Ultra Balls when going out to capture either one.
