When the player visits the myconid colony at Ebonlake Grotto in the Underdark. Baldur's Gate 3They can meet a dwarven merchant named Derryth Bonecloak. Deris is willing to buy and sell the player's items, but she is also looking for her lost husband. Not long ago, he went out to pick mushrooms and never came back.
Deris refuses compensation for her husband's safety, but the quest Mushroom Picking Finder will be displayed in Baldur's Gate 3Quest logs don't matter. Finding her husband Baelen doesn't have much of an impact on the story, but players won't have to go too far to find him. On the other hand, rescuing him will not be an easy task. If you're looking to level up and unlock more abilities, there are a variety of quests that reward your party experience points. The Mushroom Picking quest begins when you reach the Myconid Colony and talk to Derryth Bonecloak.
Where to find Baelen in Baldur's Gate 3
Finding Baelen is easy. Leave the Ebonlake Grotto via the southwest exit and turn right. This direction leads to a root bridge with several beaverbang mushrooms at the far end. Players will need to use ranged weapons or cantrips to destroy these mushrooms from afar, as the mushrooms have a tendency to explode if characters get too close.
The north side of the beaverbang mushroom has knotted roots that extend into the lower levels. Another root bridge leads north, and the caves it passes are filled with beaverbangs. However, in this case the player should not set it. Baelen is trapped in the back and will die when the mushrooms start exploding.
Instead, players must approach the northern end of the Root Bridge. At this point, Baelen will warn the party and ask if they can bring his luggage. Players can now choose whether and how to help Baelen.

There are several ways to transform Mayrina back into a human. Doing so will thwart the evil Aunt Ethel's plans once again in Baldur's Gate 3.
How to save Baelen in Baldur's Gate 3
Before considering anything else, The last thing the player should attempt is to enter the Beaverbang Cave.. Doing so will inevitably cause an explosion, damaging both the party members entering and Baelen.
The simplest solution is to have the Misty Step Scroll ready and waiting when you enter the Beaverbang Cave. Players can immediately throw it at Baelen by passing a simple DC 10 Strength check. Once it's in his hands, he'll teleport out of the cave.
A more difficult solution is to take the herd to Baelen without setting foot in the cave. There's a simple way to do that: Order 
wizard's hand. Mage Hand spawns a summoned creature, but this creature isn't actually physical and doesn't beaverbang. However, you can throw objects, so throw Baelen's pack (highlighted in the image above) at Baelen. The player may need to throw two or three times to reach Baelen. The Mage Hand may also throw a Scroll of Misty Step if the player fails a Strength check.
Make sure to keep your pack away from the mushrooms as Baelen will take them out on his own if you get too close. Once he has the bundle (or scroll) he will pick it up and Misty Step into the cave entrance. Players can then speak to Baelen and obtain the Scroll of Invisibility as a reward.
Now that the Mushroom Cave is empty, players can blow up the Beaverbang, wait for the lights to go out, and then explore. In the far corner of the cave, Tav can also pick up Noblestalk, a rare ingredient the mushroom gatherers have been looking for.. He is very weak with only 1 health point, so if the beaverbang explodes, Noblestalk will disappear by the time you start exploring the cave.
A survival check reveals a pile of dirt on the right side of the cave, and the buried chest contains gold, a lightning bolt, and a vial of acid. Players can also pick up the rare Candle Crystal of Lolth from an alcove, and its contents will survive the explosion if the player does not return Baelen's Bag. It contains several food items and a scroll scroll.

Finally, now that the husband has returned, players will need to talk to Derris again. She never promised a reward and is not grateful to have him back, but she will nonetheless reward the party with Gloves of Unlimited Kushigo, a rare magic item that adds 1d4 damage to thrown attacks and improvised weapons. The player may ask her why the two are in the Underdark, and based on her response, it may have something to do with treating Baelen's condition.
What can you do with Noblestoke in Baldur's Gate 3?
There's actually a lot you can do with this app. 
Noble Stoke to BG3. This is a rare consumable item that can be given to several NPCs.
Deris Bone Cloak
Derryth will be grateful to the player, as she needs Noblestalk as her shop in Baldur's Gate is struggling and is in high demand in the city.
Later in the Lower City in Act 3, Tav can visit a store called The. Bonecloak Alchemist.
Deris plans to sell Noblestoke, which is refreshed every day. However, it does not restore memories, it only heals the person who consumed it.
Baelen
On the darker side, Tav hands Noblestalk to Baelen to help restore his memories. This causes him to revert to his previous personality as he immediately begins beating up Derryth. Later in Act 3, Baelen is left to run the shop on his own, while Derryth is found happily divorced at the Elfsong Tavern.
Shadow Heart
After becoming acquainted with Shadowheart early in Act 1, she reveals that most of her memories have been erased due to the importance of her mission. After acquiring the Noblestalk, talk to Shadowheart and pass a DC 12 Persuasion or Intimidate check to make her eat it.
Sharran would remember being teased because of her name and a purple-haired Tiefling boy named Rennald comforting her. This starts a sub-quest in the companion quest called A Familiar Face.
Later in Act 3, after reaching the Cloister of Sombre Embrace within the House of Grief, Rennald now goes by the name Nocturne and has the same purple hair. She is now the Quartermaster of the Sharan Corridors and will immediately recognize Shadowheart and begin to tell of old memories from when they were children. If Shadowheart remains loyal to Shar, Nocturne remains a merchant, but disappears after a long rest once Shadowheart defeats Viconia DeVir.

Lastly, Dark Urge is an original character known to have amnesia. Therefore, it is possible to feed Noblestoke to your character and witness old memories. What the player can see will depend on whether or not they have encountered Sceleritas Fel.
