Donate to Paralives Museum
To donate items to the museum, visit the museum near City Hall and Library and interact with the blue box just outside the entrance..
There is another blue donation box inside the museum, but you have to go past the first one to get to it.
This will open the 'Donate Item' menu where you can select an item from the inventory shop on the left and choose to donate it to the museum. Doing so will fill the green progress bar on the right side of this screen a little more, and rewards will be unlocked when you reach numbered milestones.
The important thing to note here is that you cannot donate old items to museums. As you can see in the screenshot in this guide, I tried to donate a random wall clock, but it was greyed out. Instead, you have to specifically look for gems, mushrooms, and artifacts.
Where to find gems, mushrooms and artifacts to donate to the museum
These are the only three types of items that can be donated to the museum, and each item is usually found somewhere around town. I have generally found that gems can be found outside of cities and in my experience next to cliffs or rock walls on the ground.
As for mushrooms, I found Fly Agaric on forest paths close to fields with cows and on the outskirts of town. They generally seem to be more common in areas with lots of trees and other flora and fauna around them.
Lastly, buried artifacts seem to be found in all kinds of random areas away from the city's urban core. However, their locations seem a bit more random and are generally a bit trickier to find. This is because a mound of dirt that indicates where something is buried in the ground is much harder to see than a mushroom or gemstone sitting on the ground.
