Hideo Kojima has been promoted as a fortress of originality. One of the few resources of video games. He is in Rushmores in most people's games. In most cases, the godliness seems to have been guaranteed, but the strands of death and the recent sequel to Death Stranding 2: on the beach are not as original as they think.
I will try to rush this article that I like the strand of death and play the sequel. Because I'm waiting for a PC port, I finally I can hold my hand for the monopoly of PlayStation. Mechanically, the strands of death were revolutionary in crispy Traverse exploration, and they like more games to realize (the same) friction similar to basic mechanics.
I have never played a metal gear game, but I am planning to correct it soon. I have heard about the numerous creative mechanics of this series and they sound great. There is no doubt that Kojima is a genius when creating a video game. But the story of the stranding of death seems to be much less original.
On the beach -Nevil shute
Ten years have passed since I read on the beach of the university. I enjoyed the post -Apocalips novel in 1957, but it did not have much influence on me. But it had a much bigger impact on Hideo Kojima, but I raised some ideas on the page.
Nevil Shute was a British resident in Australia and his most famous novel lies in the same country. This story follows the Melbourne residents' group waiting for a cloud of atomic radiation to the south in the aftermath of World War II. It is desolate, barren, and surprisingly similar to the strands of death.
Unlike most of the apocalypse novels, unlike the death itself, Shute's novel is symbolic because of the uselessness of the protagonist's behavior. There is no hope. There is nothing to avoid the upcoming storm. They should simply wait for their death. It is not the most innovative speculative novel published in the post -war days, but it is memorable and influenced.
In addition to the setting, atmosphere and oral title, it is also a mention of Hollow Men, a famous poet of TS Eliot. The beach has one important conspiracy that supports the whole of death. Australians receive a message from a North American submarine during a novel event. There may be a message that represents hope, a life after nuclear falling. The content of that message? One word: connection.
On the beach -Hideo kojima
I don't want to say that Kojima is a wholesale plagiarist. I don't say he is a copycat. Eventually, he created his entire story about that word message, expanded it and explored it in a meaningful way for modern audiences. But he is clearly inspired by SHUTE's novels, and if he wants to see that relationship, it is worth reading if he wants to see his intentions very much.
There are many similarities between the two novels, but there are many distinctions. Shute provides one of the most pessimistic views at the end of the world I read, while Kojima deals with hope. Developers have expanded the topic of connections (thanks to most nihiles) that are rarely explored in this book and translated it into a game mechanic.
Then there are all the stories that connect the apocalypse within this framework. There are no artists who transport equipment across the wasteland by intercepting the wasteland, no IgGs, BTS, Kiral Network, and the Beach. Personally, I think this story is part of the weak point of death, but I differentiated the game from the inspired novel.
Anyway, if you are already over as a streak of death on the beach, it's probably time to read on the beach. Or there is a movie with Gregory Peck unless reading is actually yours. I can be trash because I haven't seen it, but maybe it will add depth.
Nobody noticed a strands Canon. Either way, you probably inspired the stroke of extensive death.
