The most technically ambitious of the three is Blitzwing, one of the world's most powerful villains. transformer lore. The Leader Class figure stands 8.5 inches tall and switches between robot, jet, and tank modes in 41 stages, reflecting the character's unique triple changer design. Blitzwing is also the most accessory-heavy of the trio, with a blaster, sword, and Energon gauntlets giving collectors multiple pose options. Given the character's prominence in the 1986 film and the relative novelty of the triple transformation mechanic, the $59.99 figure is likely to be a major attraction for many fans.
Rounding out the Decepticon side of the lineup is the Voyager Class Cyclonus. The 6.5-inch figure converts from robot to Cybertronian jet mode and comes with an attachable blaster. Minimalist loadouts are perfect for characters whose screen presence will always rely more on pure menace than gadgets. At $42.99, Hasbro's Voyager Class Cyclonus falls in the middle of the new wave price range.
New Transformers Studio Series Figures Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Transformers: The Movie All three figures will be available for pre-order starting April 28th at 1PM ET from Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers.
The only character in the wave not based on a Decepticon is Deluxe Class Cliffjumper, immortalizing a fan-favorite member of the original Transformers crew that crash-landed on Earth. The model stands 4 inches tall and converts from robot mode to car mode in 23 steps. Like the Cyclonus, it comes with a single blaster accessory. It's also the most accessible product in the upcoming line, and will retail for $27.99. All three figures will be available for pre-order on April 28th at 1PM ET. Aside from Hasbro Pulse, it is also available through select licensed distributors as no one is listed as a retail exclusive.
