At the same time, Sukuna resumed his reincarnation, regaining his true form and once again demonstrating incredible levels of strength, skill, and resilience in battle.

Obviously, Sukuna ended up losing the battle. But you can never doubt what he did, and it's safe to say that he lived up to his title as the King of Curses. Sukuna was truly an incredible warrior, reaching levels no wizard other than Gojo could reach. Interestingly, volume 27 was recently published. J.J.K. Author Gege provided quite a bit of interesting information about Sukuna's skills, one of which was aerial walking, which he used in the story, especially in his fight against the wizards.

Sukuna's image as the strongest wizard

  • Sukuna ruled the Heian period
  • Sukuna was able to defeat the strongest

Sukuna has always been portrayed as the strongest individual in the world. J.J.K.. In fact, at the beginning of the story, Sukuna was portrayed as a legendary wizard that no one could rival in the past. He was an absolute threat, ruling the Heian period with tremendous power. Of course, Sukuna's outspoken personality was such that his name spread throughout history to the point that even modern wizards know him. Fans had properly heard about Sukuna through Gojo, but at this point, Gojo was fairly confident that he would beat him if a direct fight occurred.

He alone is exalted in heaven and earth! – Narrator

It is no exaggeration to say that Gojo was definitely on the same level as Sukuna. When these two fought in Shinjuku, fans finally got to see the true level of jujitsu magic they possessed, and it's no exaggeration to say that the two achieved a truly resounding victory. At some points in this battle, Gojo came out on top, at other points they were evenly matched, and their battle certainly went down as one of the most exciting battles in history.

In the end, Gojo lost the battle against Sukuna because the King of Curses had access to not only his curse technology, but also the Ten Shadows technology. In particular, the 10 Shadows Technique gave him access to Mahoraga, which helped Sukuna find the weakness of the Limitless curse technique and finally defeat Gojo for good. Afterwards, Sukuna continued to fight against magicians in the reincarnated company and performed a one-man show, solidifying himself as the strongest alongside Gojo.

Author Gege had him use some amazing techniques, one of which was the Airwalk Technique. Airwalk technology is exactly what it sounds like. This is the power itself that allows Sukuna to walk in the air.

Sukuna vs Yuta, Rika Jujutsu Kaisen jjk 251

in many battles J.J.K.Fans have seen certain characters utilize the ability to walk in the air. This ability was primarily a way for the author to give the wizard the ability to levitate. Levitation is a power that many people cannot utilize. For example, Gojo can use his Limitless powers to levitate and fight. Sukuna, on the other hand, will have to utilize a variety of abilities to pull it off. Meanwhile, Toji Fushiguro was able to use something similar with the incredible physical strength he possessed. The next land, Maki, did something similar. Because Maki and Toji had physical bodies far exceeding human levels, they could not have accomplished this impossible task with strength alone.

However, it was possible for other magicians like Sukuna, and even rookie magicians like Higuruma, to utilize cursed energy. In the extras for Volume 27, Gege explains how the wizards were able to pull this off, and it was certainly interesting. Here's what he said:

I really wanted powerful wizards to have aerial mobility (like double jumping). So, in the Sakurajima Colony episode, it was revealed that in addition to using CT like Gojo, there is also a method of 'understanding the air' like Machina Toji.

Sukuna has been using this 'air surface grab' type of locomotion (look it up!), and when he grabs the air surface he briefly releases cursed energy with a small explosion, allowing him to move through the air faster than Machina Toji. (Still, the air surface is nowhere and fluid, so the path is limited.)

Moreover, this 'technique of releasing cursed energy into the air' was also used by Higuruma when he sounded the gavel, and he was on the verge of mastering the double jump. I planned to tie this setting into depicting how Higuruma has hidden talents as a wizard.

Apparently Gege wanted to show more applications of cursed energy in general. Unfortunately, due to lack of time and health issues, he was unable to include everything he wanted in his story. Nonetheless, it is very interesting to see that Gege continues to add little bits to the additional information section with new books.

How Sukuna Exceeded All Expectations

Sukuna defeated almost every wizard in Shinjuku.

In Sukuna's case, the fact that he could fight in the air using cursed energy shows just how genius he was. Sukuna was a magician that no one could match, and Gojo was the only one equal to him. Sukuna's Shinjuku performance will go down as a legendary performance. There he showed his true power and why he earned the title King of Curses. Clearly, he is a character that has never been equaled in history, and Gege will continue to provide more parts about the King of Damnation and the story in general in the next volume release of the series.

As the series officially comes to a close, this information provided by the author is truly valuable and adds more depth to the story than you could have imagined.
