I wasn't one to collect Funko Pops though. Funko Fusion It still caught my eye. I was intrigued by the bizarre concept of combining completely unrelated entertainment franchises into a third-person shooter, and when it became clear that it was inspired by Lego I became more and more enthusiastic while playing video games. But after playing Funko FusionIf you're a Funko fan, I'd say you should continue buying vinyl figures.
Funko Fusion's collection of weird random IPs sounds like a fun idea on paper, but it doesn't work in execution. Here's the list of franchises: Funko Fusion Run everything Five Nights at Freddy's to Mega ManIt’s expressed through unlockable characters and playable stages. Seven of the franchises have full-fledged worlds where most of the action takes place, but it seems like the IP chosen to focus on this bigger thing was pulled out of a hat. It’s baffling. The Umbrella AcademyFrom its peak of popularity to its nearly unanimously panned final season, it has been given five levels and added something with more cultural relevance in 2024. invincibilityThere is only one. And I love Edgar Wright's hilarious 2007 action comedy, but Hot FuzzIt's also odd that there are 5 levels instead of Wright's levels. Shaun of the DeadThis is a much more popular movie.
Still, it can be fun to find special characters like Chucky. Children's play ~ in Funko FusionAnd there's an absurdity to it all that makes things fun, at least on the surface. The developers clearly have a love for the IP that's coming up next. Funko FusionUsing clever touches like Number Five, The Umbrella Academy Instead of dodging like other playable characters in the game, you teleport. It’s also cool to see the worlds of these franchises being recreated, and die-hard fans of the IP will get some entertainment value out of exploring certain levels.
But when you actually play the game Funko Fusion It's a disaster. Players will quickly forget the messy charm of having random franchises thrown at them on a dartboard as they stand in a trench and try to play the game. Typical Funko Fusion The levels are mostly open areas where the player has to run around, solve simple puzzles with vague objectives, and shoot a lot of enemy Funko Pops. It can be hard to know where to go next or what to do, and the game is extremely repetitive and buggy. The player can’t tell if they can’t progress the story because they can’t figure out what to do, or because the game just doesn’t work properly.

And even if everything works properly, Funko Fusion The objectives can be incredibly boring. Several levels have escort missions that are barely fun. Particularly annoying escort missions can be found in: Jurassic World A stage where the player has to escort the gyroball through an area that has already been explored in previous levels. The player has to keep enemies away from the ball and stay close to the ball to move the ball, but if the ball touches the player, it will fall down. This happens about 12 times before the player reaches the end of the level. This is combined with extreme lag. Unfortunately unlocked Funko Fusion's secret characters and levels often mean replaying already completed stages, which only worsens the game's repetitiveness. Lego In the game playbook, players are encouraged to replay levels using different characters with unique abilities, which can be used to solve puzzles that could not be completed on the initial playthrough. In theory, this Funko Fusion It's worth replaying, but the level itself is already so miserable that the mere thought of replaying it brings deep dread.

But in the meantime Funko Fusion's boss fights are horrible. 10:10 Games has already made huge improvements since the game first came out. Latest Funko Fusion The update rebalanced some boss fights to make them more bearable, and mostly removed the constantly respawning enemies. Before the update, Funko Fusion Not only did players have to deal with bosses, but they also had to deal with endless barrages of enemies that, in some cases, made it difficult to focus on the fight itself. These enemies often interrupted drinking animations, making healing or activating buffs unnecessarily frustrating. After the update, Funko FusionBoss battles have definitely improved, but their core design is still lacking.
The final boss is fought at the end Funko Fusion The world ends with a Kaiju-like battle where the player doesn't actually participate but instead watches the action unfold, which is a twist, to say the least. The story told in each world lacks proper payoff. The Umbrella Academy The world is one of the worst offenders. The first two missions tell the story of season 1, but mostly skips season 2, and the last few levels take place in season 3. You can't follow or care. Funko Fusion Try to imitate Lego The game's story development is slapstick, but it's only an imitation.

The latest balance update also improves progression, allowing players to unlock new worlds faster and reach the final boss without having to complete all bonus levels.
From boring cutscenes to generic concepts, Funko Fusion Often considered off-brand Lego It's a game that tries to replicate the fun of destroying every object in sight, but offers something much less satisfying, since most of the objects the player can hit are unbreakable. Most of them bounce, spin, and shoot small spheres, Funko Fusion' is the currency of the game.
