DAMASCUS: Bombings by pro-Iranian groups supporting the Syrian government have killed 11 civilians in an eastern town controlled by Kurdish-led forces, a war monitor said Friday. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said six children were among the victims of the heavy shelling of Dahla in Deir ez-Zor province. The Britain-based monitor, which relies on a network of sources inside Syria, said fighting broke out on Wednesday when pro-Iranian fighters attacked Kurdish-held areas.
