EA JAPAN General Manager XBOX

XBOX is facing criticism of the game community and wider industries after releasing about 9,000 employees this week. This includes studio closures and cancellation of the game, so many people lose their belief in Xbox after suffering a problem console generation.

Someone from another company who is not accustomed to criticism is weighing on the conversation. The general manager of EA Japan, discovered by MP1ST, shared his thoughts on dismissal and condemned Xbox's obsession with short -term success in return for long -term investment in Xbox.

“In recent years, foreign companies have been demanding short -term results in large -scale investment in recent years, and there are no cases of changes in direction to meet the expectations of shareholders before sufficient time is invested.”

“The game industry is supported by all producers and employees who have diligently worked for development at the forefront. “I am sorry that the frustration of what has been accumulated for a long time does not see the light of the day, and that the gamers who expected it cannot experience it.”

In fact, we saw Western companies in a hurry to regard games or studios as failures. Perhaps the most infamous example is Concord. Then I closed the studio and I see it too often in today's climate.

Now Xbox has killed many games before gaining a chance to see the light of the day. This includes everything cooked by the new MMORPG and Romero Studios of the Perfect Dark Revival, Zenimax Online.

EA EXEC aims to be the necessity of short -term results, but others in the industry went after the game pass. Arkane's founder and Larian's publisher suggests this opinion, claiming that the game pass model has damaged the game industry.
