Where to find the original Venatori group

Dragon Age Veilguard Unwelcome Upper

The first Venatori pagan group is right Outside the empty bell towerAlthough the red lyrium barrier makes movement more difficult. To reach them, take the northeast exit from the bell tower and turn right. There is a red lyrium barrier right in front of you, but it can be easily destroyed. The enemies include four Venatori soldiers who are vulnerable to cold and resistant to fire.

As the soldiers fall, Venatori discovers a triple barrier protecting the goods he is trying to steal from the Necropolis. To defeat it, you must first destroy the red lyrium crystals on the left and right sides of the barrier. Both are hidden behind fragile crates and barrels. This will destroy the floating crystal at the western end of the room, which will also destroy the large barrier. Behind it are souvenirs and codex items.

While you're here, destroy the empty bell tower and two more red lyrium barriers blocking the door to the southwest passage. This will make exploring the Necropolis much easier.

Where to find the second Venatori group

Dragon Age Veilguard Uninvited Guest Lower

The second Venatori team is in the cascade regionThere are two ways to contact us: First, you can go straight from the northeast exit of the Empty Bell Tower and follow the path you took during the Emrich recruitment quest. However, a shorter route is to continue clockwise along the Path of Sighs and through the Spectral Court. If you haven't already, you may need to defeat the rising malevolence.

At Spectral Court, take the south exit and follow the street down. Eventually you will hear the Venatori talking to each other. This group includes a Lesser Voltaic Shade (despite its electrical name, it is vulnerable to cold and resistant to necrosis), three Venatori Soldiers, and a Cult Mage. To harm the Cult Mage you need to destroy the red lyrium crystals, but doing so leaves you with little health or defenses.

The quest ends as soon as both groups are defeated. Rewards include 500 XP, 200 gold, 5 Fade Touch Ore, Mourn Watch, and Shadow Dragons Strength +50. However, you can get more rewards by solving the puzzle in the second room.

How to Solve the Cascade Brazier Puzzle

The room containing the second Venatori group contains four large green braziers. One of them fell, but the other three are still standing.

The moment you approach a standing brazier, a wisp will pop out of the bowl. You can then interact with the brazier to light it. Unlike other puzzles of this nature, there is no need to light up in a specific order. Instead, finding the three braziers in a monochromatic necropolis is the difficult part.

  • One is near the eastern corner of the room, on the same wall as the broken brazier.
  • One is on the southwestern wall in the northern corner of the room.
  • One is in the western corner of the room, to the left of the exit leading to the Spectral Court.

Lighting all three will cause the broken brazier to glow orange, and you can use Placate Mischief on it to free the wisp. Take this wisp to the wisp node southwest of the furnace and the door will open. Behind the door is a Memento painting, a small chest, and a skull that Emmrich can talk to if he's in the main party. This conversation does not give you any items or XP, but it increases your bond with Emmrich.
