Dragon Age: Veilguard – The Raven and the Gentleman Walkthrough

In the relatively early days Dragon Age: VeilguardYou must choose to protect Minrathous and Shadow Dragons or Treviso and Crows. This is not an easy choice, as those that do not choose will suffer significant damage.

This choice also affects party members and determines which quests can be accessed from any location. quest “The Raven and the Gentleman” Can only be used in Dragon Age: Veilguard A player who devastated Treviso.

Quest Begins – Where to Find Candide

To begin this quest, you must choose to save Minrathous and then wait for Lucanis to rejoin your team. If you revisit Treviso at some point after that, the Crow leaders will offer you a new quest.

To find your objective, Chance Candide, first follow the quest marker in the market. If you re-unlock the Treviso fast travel beacon, you can teleport there, but doing so will cause you to miss the Antaam Massacre just outside the market. You don't need to see this, but Rook will mention the corpse as you pass.

If this is your first trip through devastated Treviso, you will find a plague wall blocking your way. The boil you need to burst is to the right of the barrier, outside the wooden wall you passed through to reach the barrier.

The must-see Market Master is located immediately to your right as you enter the market square. She will explain that Chance killed Antaam and then left for the Drowned District in the south.

How to unblock a bridge

On your way south into the Drowned District, you'll probably come across a bridge with a plague wall on it. The other routes to the area are locked, so you'll need to figure out how to unblock the bridge to continue.

You've probably seen plague boils blocking passageways before. But this time the boil was also dark. All you have to do is use Dabrin's Plague Hunter ability to attack the Pale Plague Abscess on the right side of the leg. Doing so will ignite the boils on the near and far walls around the bridge, popping both will allow you to cross the bridge.

Plague Hunter is temporary, so if both boils don't occur within a few seconds, you'll need to use it again.

Of course, just like the market square barrier, the bridge barrier is also nearby before you start this side quest. If you've previously explored Treviso, you can teleport right to the Drowned District beacon.

How to Win Chance Candide

From the drowning area beacon, head southeast to the sinking houses. You'll see a plague pillar behind you, and you may have to fight some darkspawn to get there. Additional enemies can make the fight with Chance more difficult, so make sure you've defeated them all before continuing.

When you're ready, destroy the three marked Plague Boils and then attack the top of the Plague Pillar. Blighted Chance pops out and attacks. Chances are, it's a level 30 enemy that's strong against necrotic damage but weak against fire. He also has an armor bar and only uses melee attacks.

In addition to Chance, you can also fight the constantly spawning Hurlock Spikers and Ghoul Busters. The only way to stop them is to kill Chance. So stay mobile and focus your attacks on the boss. The moment he falls, all lesser dark creatures in the area will disappear from the spot.

When Chance takes his last breath, return to the Crow's Lair and complete this quest. Rewards include 200 gold, 5 Tarnished Crystals, and +250 Raven Strength.
