In the beginning Dragon Age: VeilguardTwo cities are attacked and only one of them can be defended directly. The cities you skip get beaten up as a result, and your allies in those cities become hardened.
Later on, you will have the opportunity to complete companion quests and solve problems to make them more useful. However, some companion quests are important enough to become main story quests and must be completed to progress through the game. If you choose to protect Treviso early in the game, this quest is “The Cobbled Swan Case”. If you choose Minlatus, the required companion quest is 'Blood Tree'.

Where to Find Collectibles in Bloodbath
Whether required or optional, Bloodbath plays out mostly the same way. Go to the location southeast of Treviso in the Streets of Coin Financials area to begin the quest. There are many chests and memorabilia you can collect while accessing and exploring the Chantry. Here's how to get started:
- Climb the first ladder and open the large chest on the left.
- Exit through the broken window and look around the crates on the left. Break through the wooden planks, cross the balance beam, and look to the right to find another large crate.
- Go back outside and climb up to the blue rooftop in the center of the area. There are souvenirs between the chimneys.
Follow the quest marker to continue. Ilario appears and surprises Lucanis. To get approval, say “Lucanis said no.” After the conversation, continue across the rooftop and down the ladder to the Chantry's front yard.
- From the ladder, go straight south, go down the stairs and turn around. Breaking the wooden board will open a small box.
- There is a souvenir next to the large door in the southeast corner of the courtyard.
- Take the stairs up to the main door, then turn right to find a large chest. Next, go left from the door and pick up the small box.
Go to the main gate and run forward to fight a large group of Venatori led by Porcia (more on her and the other minibosses below).
- Check Porcia's body to obtain items.
- There is a small chest in the southeast corner of this room.

You can continue by opening the door in the northeast corner and interacting with the trick bookcase. Doing so will reveal a ladder. At the bottom of the ladder, move forward and look to the right to spot a large chest in a cage.
This path eventually leads to an inner courtyard where you can find more Venatori and Faustus.
- Like Portia, Faustus also drops a box.
- Head through the double doors into the prayer room. Through the door on the other side of the prayer room, there is a small chest right in front of you.
- The next miniboss fight is against Nonus and Decimus. The second person to fall drops the box.
- Go south from the battle to find a small chest.
- To the west of the chest are two rooms. One is in the south and the other is in the north. The northern room has a small chest inside.
- Enter the southern room and climb the ladder. Use the broken window to cross to the second floor of the northern room, place the ladder, and open the small box on the northern wall.
- Jump from the broken window on the north wall and land next to the large crate. Open it and jump over the ledge to get back on the path.
When you return to the south room, you'll find Zara right next to the hallway.

Dragon Age: Veilguard – 8 Best Companion Combo Attacks
Companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard can combine their skills to unleash devastating combo attacks. The best ones to utilize are:
How to defeat the Bloodlust miniboss
As you make your way through the Fallen Chantry, you'll encounter several Venatori Cultists, Zara's lieutenants who look like regular enemies but have more health and special traits. Here's what you can expect from each:
Porcia
Porcia is a Venatori mage with the following characteristics: Necrotic Infusion, Necromancer, Rejuvenation. This means that if you don't attack her for too long, her barrier can come back and summon an undead warrior in armor. She can only control one warrior at a time, but can summon a new warrior as soon as she destroys an existing one. Your best bet is to focus all your attention on her first, then clear out the other cultists when you're done.
faustus
Faustus is a Venatory warrior. Physical injection and explosion. This makes physical attacks less effective and causes damage to a large area around you every 10 seconds. In this fight, first take out his support wizards and then use ranged elemental weapons to keep Faustus at a distance.
Nonus and Decimus
These two are a pair of Venatori defenders. Nonus is Armor, Leviathan, Searing RopeDecimus Frenzy, Glass Cannon, Searing Rope. Juggernaut means Nonus is harder to fall or break and has no Stagger bar. Frenzy and Glass Cannon combine to give Decimus more attacks and more damage, but no more health. Lastly, the Searing Tether connects the two, damaging Rook if he stands between them.
Because of his aggressive fighting nature, target Decimus first and only worry about Nonus after he is defeated. Like other shield enemies, their defenses can be avoided by using charged attacks, abilities, and using allies to attract their attention.

Dragon Age: Veilguard – How to get the In Peace achievement
To earn the In Peace achievement in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you'll need to collect a few rare flowers from the Hossberg Wetlands.
How to beat Zara Renata
Zara acts like an assassin enemy. This means she can attack quickly and block uncharged attacks coming from the front. Like other Venatori, she is resistant to fire, vulnerable to cold, and has the Physical Grant trait. But she also has some unique conditions that make this fight more of a mystery than a straight up brawl.
- Zara doesn't want to leave the blood pool. If you avoid it, all she can do is attack you with three projectiles and teleport away.
- Once in the pool, her attacks include blood nova, teleportation attack, long melee combo, and drill charge.
- At three points during the fight, Zara summons three Venatori minions. Two attack Rook and his allies, while the third stands still and creates a barrier for Zara. As long as the generator is alive, Zara's barrier will regenerate if you don't attack her often enough. Once all generators are defeated, Zara's barrier will fall.
- Multiple minion waves may appear at the same time, so take them out as soon as they appear. Don't worry until Zara is all gone.
If Zara's health drops to 0, a cutscene will result in Zara's death. A lot happens and Luke and Lucanis return to the lighthouse to discuss. The rewards for this quest are: 2,250 XP, Lucanis armor, 400 gold, +100 Antivan Crows strength.
