In most cases, there is some specific gear required to make these builds work, but players can also fine-tune their gear to suit their preferred playstyle requirements.

Barbarians can summon ancient minions to crush their enemies.

Arreat's change to the Barbarian Unique Barbarian Pants allows the class to form a unique minion build archetype focused on the Barbarian's Summon Ancients. The primary way to do this is Call of the Ancients, but Arreat's Bearing now allows the barbarian to summon additional Ancients when using a Summon Ancient skill other than Call of the Ancients. Rallying Cry's Madawc upgrade allows players to use the skill to summon two Ancients with Arreat's Bearing, as well as use Call of the Ancients to summon three more Ancients and continue the summon barrage.

Hellbent Commander Aspect, Progenitor Aspect, and Bold Chieftain's Aspect are all great legendary aspects to use in this build. Hellbent Commander and Progenitor increase your minion's damage, while Bold Chieftain's Aspect reduces the cooldown of the Barbarian's Shout skill, allowing you to cast Rallying Cry more often.

Minion Necromancers can make the most of the new Diablo 4 skill tree

Necromancers were the biggest winners of this war. Diablo 4's skill tree update moves minion skills from the Book of the Dead to the skill tree itself and provides more upgrade options. For example, the Necromancer's Golem can now utilize the Gargantua upgrade to increase its size and provide an aura that increases the attack and movement speed of other minions of the class. There is also a way to significantly increase the number of summons a Necromancer can have active at once. You can increase the maximum number of summons with the Skeleton Mage's Coven upgrade and the Skeleton Warrior's Puppet Master upgrade.

Necromancers can also utilize both Deathgrip and Undercrown Uniques to further increase the maximum number of minions they can activate. The Pact of Bones unique ring also enhances the damage of these minions and empowers them when they die. The result is a build that can overwhelm its opponents with a huge number of active summons.

Currently, the Necromancer's minions are mostly managed by a skill tree, but Book of the Dead still allows players to choose the type of each minion they can summon.

Warlocks have some crazy minion builds in Diablo 4.

Bombardment is a powerful skill for Warlocks. Diablo 4 Season 13 could help turn Warlocks into demonic meat grinders. Bombardment allows players to summon a demon that explodes and deals massive damage, constantly spamming enemies. The Felwyrm Summoning upgrade for Sigil of Summoning allows the warlock to essentially gain a second barrage cast when completing the ritual. All of this technology is reflected in the Legion Shard's ability to give the warlock a free Greater Demon summon for every 200 demons (friendly or enemy) the warlock kills, making summons like Fiend of Abaddon available almost constantly.

Unique elements like The Blade of Sight Aflame and Ae'grom's Schism are also great additions to this build to help feed the demonic meat grinder. Blade of Sight Aflame boosts the power of the barrage when striking a Lesser Demon with less than 3 seconds remaining, while Ae'grom's Schism summons a second version of the Greater Demon that produces Lesser Demons that can be used as prey. The goal of this build is to overwhelm enemies with numbers, similar to the Necromancer's Minion build, by activating Demon Summon spam and borrowing the power of Legion Shards.

No matter which of these Diablo 4 For the classes players choose to play in Season 13, bringing a minion will make it easier to reach the highest Torment tier. Building around minions like what these builds aim for has some drawbacks, including less direct control over damage output. However, as the number of summons increases, the benefits of aggro mitigation and continuous damage more than make up for these drawbacks.
