Delivery sale to help restore the real castle

Kingdom Come: Deliverance and its excellent sequel have always focused on history, and for the most part they succeed. Now Assassin's Creed is focusing more on the Old Gods and strange Attack on Titan crossovers, and you can feel the love of history in both games.

So when something historical related to the world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance needs a little TLC in the real world, you'll want developer Warhorse Studios to try and contribute. Steam's new Medieval Sale, currently underway, is exactly that. The studio is currently trying to help restore the actual castle.

Warhorse first announced it via their official Twitter account (thanks GameSpot), and Pirkštejn Castle is currently undergoing reconstruction, having fallen into disrepair due to lack of maintenance. Of course, anyone who has played the game will know that this castle ends up becoming the main character Henry's home, making it a pretty important location in the series.

To help with conservation efforts, Warhorse has announced that it will be donating $1 from every new sale of the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance over the next week, and now is a great time to donate thanks to Steam's Medieval Sale. The first game is currently 80% off. That means you can buy a copy for less than $10. Not only are you getting a really good game for a bargain price, but you're also investing some money into an actual historical project, which I think is pretty cool. The sale ends on April 27th, so if you're planning on buying a copy, you might want to do so now rather than later.
