Netflix just announced at Anime Expo 2026 that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will return later this year in the fall. If you've never seen the show before, here's a warning. Large, bold text: Please click We're looking into spoilers.
By the end of the first season, almost everyone has leveled off, including David. This means Edgerunners 2 will introduce an entirely new crew member. Netflix and CD Projekt Red have been teasing individual characters over the past four days, and the final post (embedded below) is our first official look at the entire team.
The whole crew gathered
The underdog 'King' Kingsley, a veteran Edgerunner who “now lives in the shadow of his former glory”, is seen towering at the back of the gang. To the left sits Snack Nation Netrunner D on a box, hunting the killer who wiped out his clan. The pink haired woman on the right is Talia Yang. Although she comes from a corporate tower, “her heart belongs to chrome and violence.” And finally, right in front of us with the camera, is Roman Carax, “a young film fanatic looking for real stories in a city that has abandoned movies for braindances.”
Kai Ikarashi, who worked in the art department for the first season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (whose credits include Mob Psycho 100, Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time, Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade), will direct Hiroyuki Imaishi, and Studio TRIGGER will continue to produce the show.
“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 presents a new, standalone, 10-episode story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, a vivid chronicle of redemption and revenge,” it reads. “For a city that thrives in the spotlight of violence, one question remains: When the world is blinded by the spectacle, what extremes do you go to to make your story matter?”
