Boruto Officially Establishes Biggest Endgame Romance Couple

Boruto: Two Blue Swirls Written by Mikio Ikemoto and directed by Masashi Kishimoto, the legendary creator of the Naruto series. In the original series, which focused on the story of Naruto Uzumaki's rise to becoming the Seventh Hokage, the writers did not place much emphasis on romance as it was only a side plot. As Kishimoto himself admits, he is not good at writing romance novels, so he tried to avoid writing them as much as possible. However, Mikio Ikemoto took a completely different approach.

The feelings of romance and love are central to his stories and are very important to many of the plots. Now the latest V-Jump Issue #8, scheduled for official release on June 20, 2026, has been revealed, and the cover gives us our first look at Boruto's most hyped couple. The main characters are Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha, a couple.

Although the chaotic, action-heavy nature of the story makes it unlikely that a romantic bond will form between the two before the end of the series, it is important to acknowledge their feelings for each other and the ship that Ikemoto and Kishimoto are slowly building. By the end of Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools, Konoha's Hokage at the time, namely Sarada Uchiha, is likely to be with the village's other Hokage, Boruto Uzumaki. Not only would this be the perfect romantic endgame for these two, but it would also be a sweet ending to the story.
