Boruto: Two Blue Swirls Chapter 36 is scheduled to be released on July 20, 2026 at 11 AM EST. This month's chapter will see the incredible setup for the massive battle in the Shinju's den from the previous chapter, as well as the continuation of the new post-Mamushi arc following the kidnapping of Kashin Koji.
Boruto: TBV Chapter 36 is truly amazing and will not only provide some amazing action, but it will also set up some amazing plot points. We're very excited to see what Boruto and Sarada will bring in terms of combat when they reach Hidari Base, and at the same time, what plans Amado will come up with by utilizing Kashin Koji's precognitive powers. All this and more will be covered in this month's chapter, which we eagerly await.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36 marks the beginning of the Battle of Hidari
The most important plot point is Boruto: Two Blue Swirls What we will cover in episode 36 is the Battle of Hidari. In the previous episode, Boruto Uzumaki visited Sarada and explained his plan. Essentially, Boruto wants to deliberately capture Sarada in the code and take her to the Shinju's lair. This is where Shinju and Code try to lure Boruto Uzumaki using Sarada as bait. What Boruto and Sarada are planning is a reverse trap. Essentially, they want Cord to lead the way to the Shinju's lair and utilize his newfound powers in a battle against the Shinju to eliminate the threat once and for all. This is a dangerous plan pursued by the two, but it is a plan that can eliminate the threat of Shinju once and for all.
Boruto: Sarada, let them capture you. He'll probably take you straight to their base. But don't worry. It will fly right at you using the symbol I just gave you.
Sarada: I see, it's a reverse trap.

With the threat of Code still looming, the next god to fall is Hidari. That's why Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36 will focus so much on him. As planned in the conversation with Boruto, it can be expected that Uchiha Sarada will be kidnapped by the code, and Hidari will then appear. It was officially confirmed that Hidari wants to eat salad. Boruto: Two Blue Swirls December 20, 2023, Chapter 5. Expectations are high as to whether the two will face off once again with the desire to devour her.
Hidari: My consumption target is Sarada Uchiha!
Jura: Good choice!

At the same time, in episode 36 of Boruto: The Two Blue Whirlpools, there will also be a moment when Boruto Uzumaki teleports to the battlefield to face the threat of a powerful Shinju. As he teleports to the main battlefield, we finally witness a sensational battle after two months of waiting. For the past two months, Boruto has had no major fight scenes due to slow build-up and a lot of exposition. Now the battle begins, centered around Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha, and the showdown with Hidari begins.
Amado's research on Kashin Koji will help Kawaki
Another major plot point that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36 will officially cover on July 20, 2026 is the fate of Kashin Koji. In the previous chapter, Kawaki was utilized by Amado to disable Kashin Koji and then summon him back to Konoha. Now Kashin Koji and his powers are in the hands of Amado. For Konoha's genius scientist, this is a golden opportunity to check out his various timelines while also finding out which timeline his daughter could return to.
Maybe: Dead end, Kashin Koji!
Kawaki: Did you give him orders too? Mad scientist!
Perhaps: I will use the summoning technique to transport him to my lab. If you don't want to get stranded here, try touching a toad.

Amado's goal is to resurrect Akebi by any means possible, and he can use his Prescience abilities to figure out the best possible path to certain plot points. Therefore, it is likely that Kashinkoji's precognitive abilities will be extracted sooner or later and potentially given to himself or Kawaki. This sets up a huge buff for Kawaki, while also presenting a devastating timeline where Akebi could potentially be resurrected as Otsutsuki, setting up the next major villain in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex series. We can't wait to see how this plot unfolds and what happens after Kashin Koji is kidnapped. It is still unknown whether he will be reintegrated into Konoha from here on out, or whether he will be saved by Uzumaki Boruto later.
A big fight unfolds in the new Boruto episode on July 20, 2026
Any way you look at it, the time for large-scale exposition and build-up is over, and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36 will begin to focus directly on the series' major showdown. Boruto and Sarada vs. Code will likely begin in this new chapter, and we may even see Jura in action if Boruto and Sarada separate in battle. In this scenario, it's likely that Boruto Uzumaki will come to blows with Jura or Code, while Sarada will be left alone to take on Hidari. This could be perfect for her character evolution, especially as she battles the blindness that comes with using the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Likewise, exciting things were lined up for Kawaki, especially after the kidnapping of Koji Kashin. It is unknown who he will fight or how this fight will play out, but it is highly unlikely that Kawaki will not play a combative role in the main installment of the Boruto series. So one way or another, he's going to be involved in a big fight and we can't wait to see that.
With new battles officially launching this month, the Boruto franchise will ramp up the intensity even further and deliver non-stop action for months to come. This also sets up major power-ups for the main characters, especially Sarada Uchiha. Furthermore, Hidari's inclusion in this arc would finally allow the return of Sasuke Uchiha, a return we eagerly await.
