I won't lie: when it turns out Borderlands 4 I breathed a sigh of relief because developer Gearbox Software has postponed the nerf for Vex's Infinite Bleed build to October 23rd. I also text the group chat saying “My build wasn't nerfed. The nerf was delayed a week.” And now that the week is approaching, I'm still not sure if the nerfs are that necessary. If anything, last weekend convinced me that the build wasn't all that damaged. Ultimately it depends on what Gearbox does with this build, but nerfing it to oblivion is my biggest fear.
Borderlands 4 It's found a pretty permanent place in my friend's video game rotation, at least semi-permanently. We play every weekend. Although I didn't have as much time as usual last weekend. The same goes for life. But I wrote my story. Borderlands 4 I experienced it last weekend, and I'm going to do it again here. Ultimately, when trying to finish all the achievements/trophies, my “broken” build didn't help me in certain situations. To summarize what we did:
-
With some play during the week, my friend's Harlowe is back to level 50 after a few plays. BL4 A bug wiped out his SDU and specialization (he had to create a new character).
-
I finally finished all the side quests. Borderlands 4.
-
I've also unlocked UVHM5 after playing in UVHM2 over the past few weekends.
-
We also earned bounty achievements/trophies.
-
We also participated in Gear Challenges by farming Foundry Freaks with Armored Bods.
As of now I have all the achievements/trophies except Catch-a-Ride, Equipment and Manufacturer Challenge, and Dave the Burrito. I'll continue to work on it, but as I was researching Catch-a-Ride, I realized that it would require all Vault Hunters to reach level 50 to complete it. Still, my “broken” build of Vex did little to “trivialize” last weekend's content.
I don't mind losing the Infinite Bleed Build, but I don't want to lose the Bleed Build.
Vex's Infinite Bleed build is a one-trick pony.
Is Vex's Infinite Bleed build broken? Yes, of course. Was the combination of Critknife and Bloodletter unintentional? yes. But some of the best things in games are unintended or unexpected. It's called emerging game design. Should I fix it? Yes, of course. My biggest problem is lack of communication and expectations. All I have to say is that Vex's Infinite Bleed Build is still viable after the nerfs, even though it's no longer “infinite”. That makes sense, but my biggest concern is that the gameplay loop no longer works. It's no secret, but let's talk about what Bleed Build is.
-
that Throwing Knives with Impaler Mod Required for build. However, this is basic world loot. Borderlands 4Players have reported going for dozens of hours (if not fully reaching UVHM5) without seeing a single sighting. My friends and I (so in 4-player co-op) found it to be at least 10 hours long.
-
After that, there are specific skill choices for Vex centered around B.rudletter And fatal blow.
-
Bleed Build You need a powerful one-shot weapon that can stack damage. Some people use specific class mods + sniper rifles. I am Hot Slugger + Rending Scion Class Mode. (I haven't even found a +4 Bloodletter mod that I know of).
-
I also Amp Shield, Amp Repkitand Jacobs Enhancement.
-
This is sometimes enough to cause bleeding, but the player Pollution Specialization To really make it click.
All in all, it takes quite a bit of grinding to put this all together. I don't remember if we were able to find it within a weekend or two, but we were all working on the build we wanted to make. Of course, the performance of this build is a big plus. I won't lie about that. But the gameplay loop is very satisfying. I like throwing knives in general, and have been using them ever since. Borderlands 4—The fact that you can use builds topped with Jakobs guns (the best manufacturer in the world) Borderlands 4), really speaks to me.
Ultimately it depends on what the nerf does. I can afford this in many scenarios, but I don't see why this particular gameplay loop should die in the name of “building variety.” Maybe that's not the plan, but the point is we don't know the plan. If I could still survive I would be happy. Of course, you could use other Vex builds, but I like this one regardless of performance. I just want to be executable (sorry, I'm just trying to be clear here). In most scenarios, I and my friends are already trivializing content without me considering it. Our build overall can beat any boss in seconds. We will speed it up as much as possible.
The problem is that the build is so broken that it trivializes the game as a whole, and it's not easy to get. If so, Borderlands 4Your patch should have already fixed this issue. Great against bosses, especially larger ones. At the very least, I would increase the player's strength to hit the target with the sword and explode it a few times (maybe that's overkill). That's it, it's simplified. But unless you're annoying your boss, its usage is unreliable at best.
My Vex Infinite Bleed build didn't help me much this weekend.
Let's talk about it. We grinded Driller Site a few times last weekend, and while it's useful against those bosses, I'm not really interested in using Bleed Build on the mobs. If there's a bigger enemy that's annoying, pop out and bleed. However, setup takes a few seconds. Borderlands 4Battle of. In this scenario, I'd run Vex's Reapers + Specters and use other weapons because it makes more sense. Armored Bod is currently my main game aside from Hot Slugger. As you know, it's due to equipment issues.
Grinding bosses is where I shine, helping my friends get loot without having to waste time finding new and improved gear. But it wasn't my ability to one-shot bosses that brought my friend's Harlowe back to 50. Luckily, we were still working on side quests, so most of his experience came from that. Yes, it has helped me against my boss in any field. Borderlands 4 The side quest is over, but what about mobs? no. I had a part in everything we did. When the time came, I released the Infinite Bleed Build. But I didn't use it all weekend. Because it's a one-trick pony build. And we've never felt more useless than when we realized what we needed to do for the Catch-a-Ride achievement.
Catch up right away on the Infinite Bleed build
To obtain the Catch-a-Ride achievement, players must level all characters to level 50. I have a level 41 Harlowe that my wife and I played with, but that means building Amon and Rafa and getting them to level 50. Jumping to level 30 will make this easier, right? That’s right… As players know, the best level farming is Borderlands 4 There are Driller Sites and Vile Bounties. Neither case is very effective at “trivializing” content, and we're still trying to find ways to mix/match level 50 and level 30 to do this efficiently (we've spent minimal time doing this). Unless, of course, you complete the weapon challenge when you encounter the boss of Driller Sites. But that means fighting against mobs, and there's little point in trying to Bleed all the time.
Wicked bounty? A generally evil enemy? You can't bleed. I mean, yeah, once I break all the Ordonite, the Vex isn't the most effective. I quickly defeated my Rapha friend using Sleepy, but my build doesn't work so I have to switch weapons to fight them. Vex's Bleed build is broken, but not overall broken.. I have a clear party role. In other words, polishing your boss. Other than that, you're just playing the game as intended and having fun with your friends.
I'm okay with losing Infinite Bleed Buildbut i don't want to lose it bleed build. I understand everything Gearbox has said about build variety and the mediocrity of content, and that this is anecdotal compared to Gearbox's player data. I also understand that I can make my builds stronger if I want, but I'm holding back that all builds should die in the name of 'build diversity' and that Vex's bleed builds 'trivialize' all content. borderland I remember the Conference Call + Bee Shield days. That said, I'm assuming Gearbox doesn't want a build that trivializes the upcoming Invincible boss. Of course, this means modifying infinite parts. Don't stop building in the other direction. Either way, all this means is that Vex's Bleed build is broken. This probably needs to be fixed. But I hope the nerfs don't kill the core gameplay loop. I guess we'll find out on October 23rd. Or maybe I'll find out when I have time to hang out with my friends again this weekend.
