Another weekend has passed. This means I once again find myself staring at the barrel. Borderlands 4These are the upcoming patch notes. For those of you who are new here, I've been documenting my weekend gameplay. Borderlands 4 And how it feels and balances with the known upcoming changes. It was really fun because I was the Vex Main running the Infinite Bleed Build. But whatever the next patch notes bring, our only preview was that Gearbox is monitoring recent changes, so I don't think there's a need to run Vex anymore anyway (and that's the bigger problem).
maybe next time Borderlands 4 The patch will fix several unintended effects from the October 23 update. There's a QOL hit on the vending machine, and even the Crit Knife working unintentionally. Amon has a new broken OP build, so Gearbox may be targeting that. There may be another surprise there, but what is your weekend with me actually like? Borderlands 4 What the crew emphasized was that there was not enough work to do quickly.

Borderlands 4: Have a Fun Weekend
Unlike last weekend (October 17-19), I can't say I've had enough time to play, but I definitely feel like I've lost my motivation to hang out with my friends. Our Amon main did not burn and our Harlowe main was only on for a short time. When it's time to hunt ghosts social phobia but? Believe it. None of us miss it. So for the most part it was Rafa main and I took on the challenge with Armored Bods. To sum up the weekend:
-
We tested just how bad the Vex nerf was. Yes, into the ground. I've heard about the new Bleed build, but haven't looked into it in detail. To be honest, we're at a point where we don't need builds (and that's the bigger concern here).
-
Driller Sites were then honed. I'm going to be sickened to see another driller site this weekend.
-
Rafa and I completed the challenges for both weapon types and manufacturers.
-
The only achievements/trophies we have left are Dave the Burrito and Catch-a-Ride (requires getting every character's unique vehicle to level 50).
-
We've been working on leveling up our secondary characters for a while, but that was it for this weekend.
Rafa was running one driller site, I was working on another, and often we would move to a new site just because the grind was more hectic and less fun. The Bleed Build (the sword was weaker than intended) was dead as hell, so I basically respecified it and took the Vex's critical strike chance and total damage into account. The challenging effort was meaningful, but as I was doing all of this, another thought occurred to me.
Don't ask what the grind can do for you, ask what the grind is doing for you
I've said many times that I know Vex's Infinite Bleed Build should be nerfed, but I've argued that the gameplay loop is too fun to be forgotten. If Gearbox fixes the Crit Knife, which now limits crit chance instead of increasing it, perhaps my Bleed Build will become viable again. But I think I realized something over the weekend. I decided to tackle the challenge as strongly as possible instead of playing the way I wanted to, and there are two main reasons for leaving Vex anyway. That said, there doesn't seem to be much point in pursuing a new build from scratch. First, Catch-a-Ride means that you must already be playing a different character to get all the achievements.
-
I'm working on Rapha first with my friends.
-
Then let’s change it to Amon.
-
Lastly, I'm running Harlowe in another game with my wife.
Of course, not every player wants achievements, but I can, will, and should play different characters to complete the goals I set for myself. Well, Rafa and I want them at least. To go from level 30 to level 50, you will already need to explore different characters and create different builds. If we have Amon and Harlowe available (although we'll swap them both), our plan is to have two of them run Driller Sites (level 50 in UVHM5) and at least one side quest, and have someone else run Vile Bounties. If we can get everyone involved, we'll see how it goes this weekend. This means I'm moving away from the Vex anyway, so swapping out my build immediately becomes less attractive. Knowing that all the other VHs are basically on the same level power-wise really hurts my desire to work on new builds of the Vex since there's a lot of build variety. I don't want to chase more loot at this point in the game, at least not for the Vex.
One great thing about Catch-a-Ride: Borderlands 4When the first DLC comes out, you'll be able to choose between four level 50 Vault Hunters. But that will probably be several months away, so you should ask now. Why configure a new build?
Borderlands 4The endgame is all about grinding out bosses, missions, and activities like Vile Bounties and Driller Sites. These are all hard activities meant to get you somewhere, but Borderlands 4They don't take you anywhere. Not yet, anyway. I hope there is a strong endgame in the future. Because right now I'm grinding for my own reasons and not because the game itself actually provides incentives.
I understand that my Infinite Bleed Build may be problematic for future content, but that future hasn't arrived yet. I'm working on getting to level 50, but I can't say that I no longer feel the need for a cohesive build, even in UVHM5. My desire to create new Vex or create these characters beyond those required to reach level 50 is going downhill simply because I've reached my limit. I'd like to make more and better endgame content soon, but I think I'll at least get all the achievements and then take a break until I have a reason to come back. I don't really want to get thrown out Borderlands 4But now that you're done with your self-imposed tasks and you're asking what's next, there's really nothing there that would challenge a level 50 character, regardless of build.
I know it's coming, but that's exactly what I (and probably many others) are waiting for. So whatever the October 30 patch notes set out to achieve balance, I recommend going with it. Maybe once I realize there's a reason to build my character, I'll get interested in building it again. But until then, my only goal is to complete all the achievements. Then I'll just wait until then. Borderlands 4 It gives you new objectives to achieve, regardless of whether the DLC is released or not. The biggest problem with the game right now is that there's nowhere you can take your builds and push them to their limits. Until then, I'm not sure any balance patch will satisfy me. i believe BL4 It'll get there and maybe I'm just impatient, but that's what I hope to see soon.
